Took my zed today to a body shop looking for options for new paint, I initially wanted a similar red to what it used to be pre-fade, but the guy suggested mixing glitter with the paint to add a bit of bling. He had done this to his works van but it wasn't there at the time. He said I could pop down anytime and see the results on his van! Got me thinking if anyone has come across this or has anything similar on their cars? I d love to see what it looks like!!!

HORRID! Glitter paint is really 80s and REALLY tacky! Leave it to the fairground rides to use that paint! Hateful! As cheesy as Jimmy Saville's tracksuit! :rofl:

Stick to the original colour IMO, it will look better when opening the bonnet and such.

Of course, he'll suggest the glitter paint or flip paint - it will cost a lot more, better for his profits!

The other trouble with special paints is if you have any future damage, getting a decent match can be difficult, keep it simple.

I guess it just goes to show that we are all different, each to their own I say.

Are all the chavs quite well off around wigan as nova's are now worth a few quid due to all the ex chavs (30 year olds) having crashed most of them years ago or them rusting away into dust.

That whole glitter paints, flip paints etc etc isn't cool anymore. Even the the kids with thier Hondas think it's lame. It's your car mate but you will seriously devalue it.

plenty of nice mica metalics about now and pearescent colours ...nissan do a lovely pear red bit like candy apple red but without the issues of matching if damaged ...the new Qashqai is done in pearl red mica amd pearl blue mica look nice in the sunlight but still retain some of the originality for the age of how the zed should look being a 1990's car ( not to modern or trying to look to modern )

Yeah I do like this colour myself, has a real deep gloss effect.

No glitter no flip just a red pearl.

Here we go again. Dont do glitter dont do flip paint called because although yez a pearl base its called flip because it changes colour eg. From green to blue to purpal etc.

But do fo a nice dark red met pearl.so no colour change but a nice shade of red the gives diff shades under diif.light.
