I do not know if you are aware of the prices of the Z32. But yours I'm afraid is way off the mark. You will be lucky to get £4000 for your car. With such a poor advert and lack of information if this car sells I will be very suprised. If you wish to reconsider your price then email me back. If not then good luck, I'm afraid you will need it.

 

I feel this will ruffle a few feathers and I'm not out to cause an argument. So opinions below please

i have said this over and over again what does it matter if its worth £100 or £9000 who really cares if you like the car and enjoy it that's all that matters you lot on here need to get over this what the z worth. It just does not matter its just a car for fun

Il bite, if you sent me that message you'd be getting rather a snotty reply, you could have worded it a bit better. Prices do seem to be on the rise and that does look a clean car, however nearly £10k is a lot of money when the average price is is a third of that for a similar condition car, I think your valuation of £4k it's pretty realistic. He may of priced it as a chancer, he may have priced it as a dreamer or he may not want to sell as such and that's the price he would part with it for. If sone one offered me £10k+ I think I'd begrudgingly have to say ok...I could pay for a new kitchen and buy a camero with the change. I don't want to do that that but hey it would be pretty tempting.

 

At the end of the day the market decides, if people start paying £10k for them in that condition, then people will sell them for that. I can understand as a perspective buyer you may wish for them to remain a bargain, I can assure you though we will laugh one day at how they were brought and sold for banger money and scraped over a few 100 quids worth of parts, the Z32 is becoming an appreciating classic.

Doesn't look like the targa covers are there and I would expect that to go for about £4k max

Why not just look for a Z in your price range, after the email you sent he's not going to drop the price by 6 or 7 grand so you can buy it.lol

Must admit I'd seen the advert and raised an eyebrow.

The advert did make me laugh though.

Good luck to the guy, but it will be for sale a long while at that price, it is however nice to see some people trying to push the prices up now.

I will buy a zed when I see a zed I like. Weather it costs me £500 or £5000. The advert itself just sent me a bad vibe. So yes I did send that message and I couldn't care less if I get a snotty reply back. Dan... I don't understand what your point is. I've seen you post this kind of stuff before now. A car has a price for a reason. Of course it matters how much a car costs. You'd be a fool to say it doesn't.

 

My point is I don't belive people take their cars and their adverts seriously enough. I like to research my cars when I sell them and indeed before I buy them. To some people it may seem I'm being harsh. But that's they I see it.

This is a forum. When you say "you lot on here" what do you mean? Don't shoot people down who ask a question about a price of a zed. Especially when the same people offer you advice when you need help on your zed.

I clocked this one last night and first thoughts were not in a million years lol not unless its had loads of work done which has not been listed in the add but if I was going to be paying that much I would want pics of underside any detailed photos of work carried out etc but it dosn't appear to be anything special for that amount of cash I would want special lol I do think that there are people on here with zeds worth this and more but this one hasn't even had extensive engine work done or new turbo's etc and its not a pristine original either so I think the price asked is very over inflated.

long and short that partic car is too expensive but if it sells and more keep selling at higher prices will mean we won't have problems getting agreed values on our own cars which we have spent fortunes on and sold limbs to fund :)

Maybe his wife made him put the car up for sale.....he did but was clever about it :tt2:

If you feel the zed is undervalued (as a generalisation - and, BTW, I agree with that), how do you think posting about prices you think are too high is going to help zeds reach a higher value?

(to put it another way, the higher prices get, the more it benefits Zed owners: so, being horribly selfish, there is no such thing as an overpriced car (until the day I need to buy one, of course)

BTW ... there are lots n lots of other adverts on Ebay that would benefit from some of your words of wisdom.

People will put lots of different prices on there cars for all sort's of reasons. Its there right and privilege to do so. But we know here what a good 300zx is worth. Personally the first thing that hit me about that add is the fact the front number plate is not even straight! But there you are good luck to him its worth a try.

I can't think of anything better than the prices going up. We will continue to improve our Zs anyway, the difference is when we come to sell it, you can look at maybe even making money (depending on the length of ownership). I'd have expected everyone to up the prices a bit. If the cheapest Z is £3k, clean ones going around £8k, that's what the public will have to pay.

Not that I would condone a group actively affecting the market for personal gains :S

ive sold and had a very varied car list history, that said i have bought cheap listed cars when ive had money near christmas and had a steal. also ive used this one advert as a true fact there is only 42 or so uk man tt cars left, whitch makes it rare ,i never said i have a very very rare uk car of only 42 left that makes that car more exspensive than others, i simply made a statement. at the end of the day the blokes who came out to me today one, who wanted to buy the car did not bless him have a clue about these cars, and quiet frankly i could have sold him a pile of pooh, but i didnt. insted i sold the benifits of the car as i was going around it. the fact that i had new tubs new tyre s new rear end new paint new this new that and it wasnt a scaby peace of shit is why i got my asking price ,that said i did also get more intrest at the higher price of 6250 as a proper car. also i think people will pay for what they think a cars worth to them as the same as a house, in the end you will only sell your car for what the buyer sees fit its worth that said if you price your car up silly it ant going to sell ,that also said, if i get my new car were i want it, and done right i will be able to command a ten grand price tag like what funki si can, should he wish. your car is only worth what somone is willing to pay for it. that said all i new is i wanted a uk man tt and ten years ago i paid 6 large for my rusty bag of what was then a p;ile of shit, and then went went on to spend nearly dont matter ill would never get my money back. you get the idea. stop letting the market tell you what you cars worth, in my opion my car was worth the agreed value of 6 large that the insurence agreed not what that someone thought its worth . my orange car beat at the lights and was quicker than my brothers db9 to date his old shelby gt500 that was supercharged that cost him over 50k the db9 all be it old another 40k car. his race car he uses amounst others . i rest my case. 300zx live on.
