feels like a part of my childhood has just died. strange how it was just the other day, the kids were watching ROBOTS, and i was laughing hard at fender. Such a sad loss RIP :(

Flubber happy feet good morning Vietnam and was watching work and mindy before omg a great actor gone nanoo nanoo

When i think of Robin Williams, I always remember the time when my Mum found him sitting stuffed into in her economy seat from New York to London. They gave her his seat instead up front and treated her like royalty.

It actually moved me to tears this morning when i read this. Such a unique natural comedian who would steal the screen from anyone whether it be in comedy or in a straight role.

An incredible guy and such a huge loss to the entertainment world.

So sorry to lose you Robin

I'm currently battling severe anxiety and depression. Hence why until recently I'd not been online. I've had a fair bit of time off work and it'sbeen very difficult. From personal eexperience i really hope this will help the public understand mental health as a real illness. I was naive myself about it all before being a victim of it. Given the right support and help it can be beaten and i am beating it, only because my family and Mrs have been brilliant. Without them i have no doubt i would be sipping a beer with Robin Williams himself.

R.I.P a very very fine actor and what seems a top man

Sorry to hear that mate - I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Cheers bud. I'm getting there now. I didn't do myself any favours by bottling it all up instead of seeking help. But like I said I was naiveabout the whole mental health ssituation. If more can be done to 'raise awareness' maybe people won't be in the same boat as I was. I sought help. I had help with my finance and my work situation. With regards to work I was in the same situation as veilside. I hope he reads this(not saying you are depressed or anything veilside) just dont get down about it. Now my finances are straight and I've started a new job. I'm on top of the world. I'm on medication obviously which has helped a lot, but it can be beaten no matter how dark of a place you are in. If anyone on here feels like they are struggling then feel free to call me or text or email. All my details are on here on the services for members section. Also if you don't want to talk to me I use a website called 7cups of tea. Google it. It's free and confidential for an instant chat with a 'listener'

Thanks again mate

Bottling it all up is the worst thing you can do mate. It just festers and will come back later when you least expect it. I've had both for about 8 years now. Had all the treatments but I still 'go quiet' every now and again. Keep your chin up and try to take each day at a time. It sounds flippant, but you ARE what you feel. There is no single answer (as this thread proves). I wish you all the best in your recovery :thumbup1:

It's not as uncommon as some would think. Glad to hear you guys got the right help. I know a few who have come through this and some who just want to give up. The late hours I have spent just listening, which is all some people need.... As the saying goes...there's a big difference between having a mental illness and being mentally ill
