...my lodger had gone off on his hols and nobody was in the house and all the doors were locked.

 

I've got a nightvision security camera that emails me whenever anything sets it off and usually it's pointed out the window at the drive looking for pikeys but i'd moved it to get something off the window sill and forgot to point it back.

 

After i'd gone to bed it picked this up about the same time i heard a bump from downstairs and assumed it was the cats who were locked in the kitchen.

 

Got to work and found this email....

I can't see any 'head and shoulders' shadow. All I see is a moth or something that's flown by and set off the camera.....

On the door itself there's a round shape over a wider shape like a pair of shoulders. I would normally say moth but look at the shadow - that thing is close to the wall behind so it's a bloody big moth if it is one!

When i first moved in we kept finding the taps switched full on when i came in then after a while it went quite but there's something never been right about the hallway.

An old couple bought it from new, i have all the original deeds, bills of sale and randomly the death certificate etc from the solicitor(!) So i know he died back in 1984 and his wife in 2010 then the house sat in probate.

 

I don't know how she died but they seemed to have spend alot of time and energy in the garden, it's full of roses.

 

Randomly the first night I was there lying just about to drift off to sleep I suddenly started getting flashing images in my head of the house and garden with two people. The images went from black and white to colour and the people got older and eventually it stopped and went dark again.

 

I assume they both past away in the house of old age as google streeview still had her wingback chair in the front window from 2010 so she was there till the end. Weirdly i still get days where the bedroom start smelling of cigarettes when it doesn't smell that way the rest of the time.

 

I challenge anything to do with the paranormal as most of it is just a trick of the light but there's some weird stuff i've experienced over the years that cannot be explained especially in my ex's house!

I grew up in a house where the guy hung himself, my parents had always said he'd fallen down the attic stairs and broke his neck but as a kid i used to see legs dangling all the time and would never leave my bedroom in the night. Then about 10 years later an old lady who used to live down the road as a child popped round for a cuppa and brought up it was such a shame the chap hung himself(!). My parents believed me then :rofl:

 

I saw a small child run past me in my ex partner's house when i was helping her move which was freaky.

 

The following house i kept seeing water running down the stairs and turned out the guy had topped himself in a running bath and the only way they found him at the time was the water running down the stairs and out the door, also there were sounds of children running round her bedroom and strange flashing lights in the dark (not the lightbulb as we removed it)

 

Next house she moved into was an ancient 16th century pub. Within about 5 mins of being there i noticed random flashes of light and moving shadows in the corridor where there were no lights. Trying to disprove it we even stood each end of the corridor and waited and still saw the lights when there were no bulbs inbetween then felt a hand stroking up the back of my neck. Absolutely terrifying place and since she moved in she's woken up to a group of spirits standing round her in her bedroom, the kids have seen stuff and even in a photo she took in a room there was a girl standing outside the window.

 

The flat i lived in had a poltergeist and i ended up moving out the bedroom as it was so badly haunted.

 

So all in all i've seen enough to convince me that there's "Something" out there that i can't explain :D

That's cool and I support your experiences. So far I haven't experienced a single thing that would leave me convinced. I would like to, if such things exist. Being devil's advocate, some could also be subconscious thoughts? The mind and light can sometimes play all sorts of tricks.

 

I sometimes 'think' when I've misplaced an item and it ends up in the most random of places that maybe it wasn't me that moved it as, how the hell would it get there? Having said this however, I have been known to put my wallet in the fridge and my mobile phone in the oven. :rofl:

Haha, i am quite objective - i went on a locked in ghost night in a "supposedly" haunted location and didn't see a single thing all night and felt perfectly safe all night :D

 

I'd love to visit a few more "haunted" locations and see what happens :)

You need to get an Exorcist in, not like the film, but go and talk to a minister or priest. They will know what to do

We never really know what going on do we 100 % but a little lightning of the picture and below you can see the culprit and no spooky things going on, the camera is low resolution when used in the dark and the motion blur kind of acts to make it more mysterious, the background has a lot of " noise" that was difficult to do anything with but nothing there just camera picking up some infra red light reflection.

 

You can see the two white ghostly type things are a cats back paws as he jumped down of the window ledge..... seems you have a naught cat in the house yours or someone elses.

I can see the paws idea but the legs aren't long enough and when a cat pushes of a surface with its back legs the feet will curl backwards slightly. The ones in the picture are bent forwards

Maybe the cat was falling rather than jumping, maybe after been "spooked" ( he he)

Whatever you choose to see in that photo is probably not the shape you think it is. I presume that this is a night picture using a long exposure and infared, so a small moving object will looked blurred and larger. We have cameras like this in the kids rooms to ensure that they are asleep etc., and tiny flying things, maybe even dust particles and definitely moths etc show up all the time, when they are not visible in the room itself.

Exactly that Andy, my dad did a series of photos years ago with long exposures, shaking his own hand (a fake clone) him stood in every window of house etc all done with wet film and long exposures.

 

I'm a complete atheist personally, by that I don't believe is god, spurts or even the soul. I think 99.99% of things we "see" can be discounted as either tricks of the mind, it's possible for two people to conjure the same or similar enough illusions, esp once stressed and suggestable. Grief being a typically prevalent catalyst. The other is not seeing what you thought you saw, the power of suggestion etc. This is generally what happens with photos etc, we capture interference and jump to conclusions. The other 0.01% is the weird and the annomolyies, remember we arnt as smart as we think and our understanding of how our eyes interpret light reflections and communicate them via electrical impulses to the brain isn't complete. We see a very different world to say a bee. Light is much like a fingerprint leaving packets of information bouncing around, this is why a good portion of the stars in the sky are no longer in existence. It's complex stuff and the human eye is merely one particular method of biological camera, the camera does lie and so does the eye.

Would you be prepared to read a book with an open mind ?
