It's a shame you feel this is the only way, I hope this gets resolved to a satisfactory outcome and you come back. This isn't the first time something like this gas happened, but hopefully the outcome will be different this time.

I did what your doing for a while but had to return to this one, I now just avoid certain users

It's a shame, man - hopefully you'll reconsider at some point and rejoin the fold.

All the best though!

Oh mate, that's crap news :( I'll be in touch regarding the manual conversion at some point later this year but hope you still come to the anniversary meet next weekend

This is a shame Steve. I take it you are not taking up the offer of a 50% refund which is a good offer from the seller who insist's it was working when he had it. Unfortunately the club can do no more as we see this as the best solution for both parties so to leave the club in this way does not make sense to me. Please consider staying with us as we dont want you to leave over a sale that went wrong and now has been sorted and you have my number if you want to ring me any time Steve.

Be sorry to see you go. Your posts are both knowledgable and informative. Forum will be worse off for you leaving. I understand your reasons though. I too would feel the same.

I agree with the others that you should stay mate, we will be worse off without you and you without us buddy.

But I understand your reasons mate so if you do go all the best and hopefully see you in the future.

if you have enjoyed you time here for the last 3 years why would you want to leave the place over a disagreement with one person

Life is short enough to not enjoy things that you like

Joining in with all the others here and ask that you take a bit of time to reflect on your decision and decide to stay after all the Z community is very small as it is and needs as many as possible in it as 99% of the time it is good

Come on mate, it makes no sense to publicly 'leave' a forum due to an issue with one transaction. I personally thought the club had done a good job in mediation, and that's just from the public thread let alone phone calls and anything else behind the scenes.

Guess it's your call, but I think it's a bit wet given you own one of my favourite Zeds I've worked with :wack:

I know it probably won't help, but the item did work when I mapped the car it came from. I remember it as it was so archaic :wheelchair:

All the best either way matey, keep in touch.

shame to see yopu going mate good luck in the future hopefully you will be back though

i think ian has made a fair offer to you, but its your choice to leave, if you change your mind you know where we are

but dont think ian is being protected (this is for all members) he has been treated the same as anyone else in this prediciment and im sure the outcome would have been the same no matter who was involved, he sold what he claims was a working boost controller, another member claims it worked on the car before removing, new onwer recieved it, changed parts on it now wants money back as its not working

i havent a clue about things like boost controllers, and not sure whether changing things on it would make it not work but i wouldnt take back an item that was working then wasnt and had been altered, so i think ian's offer was fair and above what i expected anyone else to do in this situation

i bought a second hand maf some time ago, fitted it to my car and worked ok, bought an airfilter fitted that and the maf went a day later, all in the space of a week or so, i just took it on the chin that it could have been something i did, didnt bother contacting the seller for a new one (just an example of how things can go wrong)

lets hope we can get over this and go bck to enjoying the forum as intended

Allan

Sorry to hear that Steve.

I have nothing else to say to you, other than what everyone else has said above. This is one incident; with one person - and certainly not worth leaving over; the door will always remain open mate.

Richard:sad:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Sorry to see a load of knowledge leaving our forum mate, It was fascinating seeing some innovation with your build. Stay safe and catch you again sometime :clover:

Hi Mate,

its a shame... ive been in the shit with traders on here over a longer period and the same mod has pissed on my fire...

Im still here because of the good guys.

Dont let him spoil it for you...

Hopefully similar members with similar issues will stand up to be counted and the committe might listen..

But dont leave as the person then wins

sorry but ian went above and beyond, he offered a refund if the item wqas returned as it was sent, then offered half payment to be sent back as it was and both from what i can tell was refused

i think he has been more than fair and think people are just after blood, it has been said that the item has been seen working albeit on the car before it was took off, seems a bit of a witch hunt, i know people have had probs with ian and his moderating in the past but thats because ian is a good mod that has had passion for the forum

i ahve the same problems with my tennants, the only ones that dont like me and my boss are the ones that cause problems, eveyone else like us as we know we do a great job

sorry if this upsets anyone but tuff, its the truth as i see it

tough then Alan, clearly you saying are Im a trouble causer..

I wont be resubbing this year either. wont discuss it over a keyboard will wait for the next event, ill do it face to face..

im not looking for trouble, but traders and mods are like Judge Dredd..

im off to, tech threads are about all this forums worth.

i dont pay to be insulted to able to have my say

Lets not forget that the same mod has done more for this club and its members than a lot...this place has a lot of takers who just cant hold there own piss when it comes to jumping on the bandwagon over things that does,nt concern them.Iff Steve wants to leave then thats a big shame given the offer he was offerd but lets get real here iff you all think he,s had that much of a raw deal then start a collection and buy him a new controller.Ive given more away in this place to more members than i dare to add up so that allows me to type all the above...So go on then to all the mod haters you give a bit back and buy silverline a new item which you all think he deserves:rockon:

Bag or shite pal.... ive had my own issues, good mod FFS..

im no mod hater, but sick of the bias shite, im away too.

I couldn't give a flying who's a mod or not. I'm so well behaved I don't have to worry lol

I think Steves problem was that he had to start the original thread to even get a response from Ian. And fair play to Gary for stepping in and mediating. I'd have taken the 50% that eventually was offered.

Kev is allowed an opinion.

An opinion is just that, it's not right or wrong, it's an opinion.

nope, im not calling anyone a trouble maker and i thought you knew me enough to know that i would say it or type it directly if i was singling anyone out, but dont think you can go having your say without anyone else having theirs, my last post wasnt directed at you it was directed at a lot of people who have jumped on this whole situation and wanted blood

i also pay to have my say, i didnt insult anyone in my post, simply having my say like everyone else has
