My Z is going into the paintshop for some remedial work next month. I am back pondering a moustache! I know PolioJ is an advocate of them. I'd be having it painted with a dark metallic grey, the indicators and fog lights will have a light tint film on them.

I like the look of both, but the moustache almost gives the car more 'girth' by illusion! Unsure. I am still thinking that this look is a 50/50 split....

I am pretending ALL your hoses are black! Hahahahha

I like grey shade you have.

I was young and foolish and needed the money :)

Put the tash on Si, have a change.

I think the colour should be the same as the headlight inserts which is what you're leaning towards anyway which is literally a 'grey' area...........some say metallic black, gunmetal and even metallic grey but I know you want it like my powder coated plenum !!

The other day I was in a pound shop and spotted some 300ml Holts auto spray paint, looked like old one off stock to me but fyi I picked up 2 cans and just for colour reference they are HGREYM16.

EDIT : Holts actually have it down as a NISSAN colour

I think black would be too much for the moustache. I will go with a dark metallic grey, I'll do the mirror bases in that colour along with the TwinZ diffuser when I eventually get it!

Do you think black would be too much on a yellow car with black headlight inserts and scuttle panels

I think black against most lighter paints is too much contrast IMO. It's too harsh. Headlights are different as they are a separate component, but to have black paint butted upto a really bright colour.

My roof panels and pillars are jet black, but they're butted up to the glass and the blackened edge sections, so it flows.

lose the tash, full Veilside kit, carbon wrap the wheels & lambo doors - 6 pot rear lights at the rear mmmmmm funkysi meltdown mode!

I've been looking at these pictures.

Your nose looks fine as it is, if a bit 'busy'.

The moustache zed above looks good because it's really clean.

If you did that it would highlight your number plate and you wouldn't get that clean effect.

Plates in the window look cheap.

I think your onto a loser really, it will look no or better or worse.

I just think the plate can hide a bit atm, being a short reg. and legally petite or whatever size it is. White surrounded by white, it's been discussed before but plates are difficult on the front of zeds, black would highlight it.

Vote for what? No I don't get the idea. :p

Vote yes to tash or no to tash.christ you have anough posts to get a vote.

I agree - although a satin black 'tache does look good on darker colours (which is what I had done). And that white Z with the Stillen lip you posted is just perfect....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Why not get a photoshop of it knocked up? You've got de ambered Jspec corners haven't you? You want those ones that are ok the white stillen lipped car, are they US corner lights? With the car being so pale, bright fogs and corners will clutter it up, that's why gas' works well it's all one solid colour. Alternatively, how about 98+ corner lights on the 89 front, that looks sweat and gives a modern touch.

Yup, Mr.Isherwood's old car. Now looking very different and painted in disability-blue.

I really liked what Andy did to that.

A surprise for the Coventry meet...if I manage to reassemble the darn thing in time! I will have a couple of evenings at best. The car is almost completely stripped and in the paint shop. A few little things I am changing that no one will notice other than myself + some remedial work!
