So its finally happening after been off the road for well over a year the zed is on Target for its refurbishment.

Last year I started with doing all the underbody suspension stuff to make the ride more stable and after that

I decided I wanted to do a full strip down to the bare shell and start from scratch to create a show quality z32.

After much bad luck and many thousands of pounds wasted on rotted zeds i'm cracking on with the original plan.

So as a quick update i'll post some older picks followed over the next few weeks by an overall progress report.

Starting off with how she was when I first purchased her 3 years ago until the state she is now then showing the

strip down and all the bad luck I've had.

So here she is as I bought her :

Next week is a big week for my zed as I plan to hopefully rebuild the complete interior.

I've got Monday, Wednesday and Friday off next week so will have some fresh pics all next week.

You should be able to do that in a day! Unless of course you're doing the dash....

The interior is just a shell so its a full rebuild.

Wiring loom, Blower, Heater Matrix, Cooler, Aircon Pipes, All Dash supports, Dash, Front Dash panels,

Door Trims, room trims, carpet, seats, quarter glass trims and everything to the rear.

So a few days might just be enough; I hope.

Look smart though Lee, started to take mine apart and found all the screws which hold the rubber seal rusted to buggery:thumbdown:

Very nice indeed!!! will be sweet when finished !!!

Over the last day or so I've been working to rebuild the interior, I've was held back slightly on Wednesday

getting the dash in as over the period of the year that the zeds been off the road; various important pieces

required for the reassembly went amiss and its taken me the days in between to source them again from the

various locations all my zed parts have been stored.

Anyways first rebuilt on Monday this is the first time I've really saw the targas refitted with all new trims and rubbers :

Nice tight fit now so hopefully after the rubbers have been properly sealed they won't leak.

Much better! Now time to get rid of that horrible red tubing! :)

That's the plan !

but for the moment time is against me and I'm short of cash to get them all done.

although the zed is purple I've kept the engine bay fully matte black which makes it actually

look very clean and will highlight and other colour parts on the engine or around it.

the side pipes which run to the turbos are red but they will be getting done in purple too.
