Nice long weekend and my Z is coming out of storage to get prepped ready for spraying and engine fitting. Now the question is do I show pics before, during and when it's done or just show the end result?

 

Won't be a quick one as the Z is a 120 miles away from where I live now so will only be able to work on some weekends, but it's taken 5 years to get this far so it definitely has been a slow build!

Perks on my old man running a restoration business. They do go up higher, but the boot will catch on the garage doors, get enough clearance for today's jobs.

My rust treatment for the whole car. The only rust on the car was this wing that was rubbed down last year. The rest of the csr is as clean as the day it left the factory!

Can't wait to see this finished, keep the updates coming

Spent all day rubbing down panels and preparing for under coat on the removable panels

Is this the copy of the original, looks longer to me?

Some of the panels are in primer now, the 2 doors have been done but are not the ones on the car.

Another bank holiday, and im back working on the Z! Finally finished removing the stone chip from the car, found a slight dent on the roof, must of taken a knock with the targa, so filled that, and have removed the power steering pot brackets ready to weld and smooth that area.

Good to be back working on it again!!

Cool stuff. As previously mentioned those are some great ramps!

Another weekend done on the z, holes welded up in the engine bay, and smoothed out, then masked up and under coated boot has had the spoiler stuck on and under coated, targas striped right down and under coated and all other little bits under coated. Now Ready for paint, which should happen the weekend of the 18th. Can't wait!!

Well after 3 very hard and stressful days the z is finally sprayed!
