Anyone's on here and is this a realistic price tag? I have to say looking at some which have sold over the past year do look a lot better than this one but then again the investment put in by the owner is quite substantial

Personally I have seen better looking Zeds about for less than half the amount requested.

by the time I have done mine I will be into 18k easy but I know I will never get any of it back again. I bet he will not sell it for 12k you do it for the love of the car knowing you will never see the cash again

"1 of 28 of the same spec"?

'Visually', I do not think it is a realistic price tag. It doesn't look pristene with what he's done to the body. I would love to say that hi-spec Z32s are worth that, but they're not. 500bhp+ Z32s in mint condition could fetch £7k I'd imagine (I'd still pay £5k for an immaculate stock/mildly modified TT manual). Now, if the car actually looked like it was immaculate, I mean, really immaculate, then I'd suggest yes.

For example, I think MadMax's 300zx went for around the £12k-ish mark. This had a £30k Kyle Puckett engine in it from the states, and a further £20k-£30k worth of parts and paint.

Tasteless styling modifications aside, realistically it isn't going to be worth that, even if it does pump out over 500bhp (proven).

I've spent well over £20k on mine (not including the cost of the car) which isn't much when you consider what Jaffa and Maxmax have spent for example. I wouldn't advertise it at that. I have no idea what mine is worth....which is good as I have no intentions of selling it.

Haha yeah c'mon Simon, where's all that money gone on your 'standard' zed :p

that's what I was thinking

that's what I was thinking

It's VERY far from standard - but good that it still resembles a 300zx huh!

It's had a complete suspension overhaul, custom leather interior, Jimmer rebuilt engine, new wheels (a number of times), paint job (2 of them) which included various subtle modifications, new glass, rear lights, expensive audio upgrade then there's the money on replacing various bits of trim, fittings, clips, so on and so forth. Pretty much EVERYTHING has either been replaced, upgraded or reconditioned.

rebuilt engine I see now is that with uprated turbos? I take you have stripped and rebuilt the sub frame like I have and look like new on the under side. my be I will well over 20k then with mu build at going for about 600bhp ish

Getting some good power out of stock tubs, no mention of aftermarket ones being fitted. And £2500 on sound system sounds a bit iffy too.

That's without mentioning the dodgy 2 tone paint and wrap job on the outside.

I would don't go anywhere near it.

* had a second look, and it has had replacement turbo's, and some nice goodies on it, but there are some basics that haven't been done.

If Si has been buying his trim and other items from Nissan for a factory new look, then that 20k bill is very believable for a stock 300zx, Nissan do not sell cheap parts for our cars, especially for items other dealers can not supply.

Exactly what I thought guys. No matter what we plough into our Zeds we know that we would be lucky to reccup a fraction of the cost back. Like someone has mentioned we do it for the love of the car.

And I have never seen si car in real but its my favourite I've seen on the forum,

Stock ish looking with nice upgrades and I bet its has good has it looks body and mechanically,

If I was parting with a lot of money something like si car is one id be looking for, not bits stuck to it and different colours etc...

I've seen si's, and it's excellent. My favourite car on here and was even better in the flesh.

Hoping mine will be as good.

But I bet he wishes his stance was like my back wheel lol,

And si im not stalking your car lol...

See I have seen Simons car, mad maxes car and a few others that have some dollar spent in them. Z32s are bloody expensive to do much to, 10k falls into a z32 and doesn't even touch the sides often. I'm not sure how much gas gone into mine, it's far from perfect and I know there's more money in it that id like to admitt.

i know that car and the owner .. its running over 500hp and is a forged engine with after market turbos it goes well

Been speaking to the fella who's selling it on Facebook and from what He has told me it does seem to be legit some of the mods. Done to it

Hks turbos, hks turbo timer, hks hypermax coil overs, z centre fibreglass vented wings, bumper, side skirts and rear boot spoiler, full carbon wrap, 18" rims, new tyres, brand new black leather interior, snap off steering wheel, £2500 sound system touch screen, DVD and sat nav, engine fully ported and polished, twin air in tack cones, 550 injectors up rated fuel pump, twin bailey dump valves, alloy 60mm rad, strut brace, z centre Ecu and chip remapped best run 547bhp 23psi, mph derestricted easy do 180mph plus, new water pump, new cams, new coil packs, engine full cleaned painted and lots of mods chrome parts rear engine cover, full japspeed exhaust decat with twin 5" back boxes

If the engine is strong and healthy then it has some value but I can't help but think that all the other gumph has just devalued it significantly.

I'm not a fan of the styling personally and can't understand the matte body with gloss bumpers and skirts, it looks like he hasn't yet finished the kit since installing. I get the impression that the sound system has been designed purely for numbers and has very little focus on sound quality, I can't see why else you would try and cram that many speakers in the back like that.

Personally I'd spend a whole week ripping useless crap and cables out that car hoping that the money I got from selling it all would help respray it. It could be a bloody nice car at present though it's not too my tastes. It's pretty restrictive in its market because of its styling.

i struggle to understand why you would put all that work and money into making it into the monster it is, then sell it. spend 20k+ then let it go for considerably less. so someone else can enjoy your hard work.
