Well did a bit of work to the old girl this weekend, changed the inlet manifold gasket, rocker cover gasket and also changed a few of the rubber hoses as well. But got a boom shell from work friday saying i'll be posted to canada come end of june:sad:. The first thing that came to mind before the family was "oh no my Z". might be away for maybe three year and I know what you guys gonna say put it in storage. as much as it hurts me to think about it but might be selling the Z. Still looking at a plan B but if it dosen't go as planned then I might have to sell her.

Awesome opportunity. Grab it with both hands bud. You'll be able to get a nice Zed whilst out there :-)

Unless you have real sentiment towards that particular shell, id say sell it. The cost of storage will mount up above the cars market value for starters, you wouldn't be able to check the car regularly, it could be stolen and you may not know for months or years and lastly they don't like being left stood standing, all kind of gremlins form IMO.

Sell it keep the money, spend it in Canada and the US on parts then but anew zed when your back with the money you saved. Much better option.

Sounds like a fantastic opportunity for you mate and I wish you the best of luck with it. You could always get a zed over there keep it for 3 years then sell it when you come back..:)

thanks guys you just made it easier to make this decision, guess she's gonna be sold

Someone else from here went to Canada and took their Z with them. Can't remember who, but pretty certain it was a white car.

I think that was Apollo Andy...

Canada is full of JDM RHD Zeds.......

I think the import rules are pretty lax.

Just take it with you.

or that

Rules are similar for Canadian and US cars, the big difference is that Canada has a 15 year exploratory rule, whereas USA has a 25 year. This means that any car over these ages does not have to confirm to any DOT tests for emissions and safety systems. Really early RHD/European/Whatever Z32s from 1989 can now legally be imported into the USA, you're starting to see a trickle of R32s appear there now.
