Hi all, hope someone can assist,

When I started driving my Zed today i noticed it sounded different, and there was quite a clear squeaking coming from what sounded like one of the belts,

When i got to my destination I took a look around the belts, and they didn't look great, but nothing substantial, just a bit old. But then I saw this sitting at the bottom of the engine bay:

Now is this coincidence? or is this what is causing the noise?

And if it is one of the belts, do you think I should not risk travelling to Japfest tomorrow, and just put it in the garage ASAP?

Help would be much appreciated,

Alex

If you can, pop off the cam covers and have a look at the cam belt, just for piece of mind. It 'could' be from an old repair job and it's just been sat there for a while. I would imagine that if it were your current cam belt, it probably would already have blown itself to pieces, but have a good check.

Quick update,

Ive not taken the risk, and just gave it to the garage to inspect... No japfest for me :hang:

If you down into the area under the fan, there should be three belts. I bet one is missing, monies on the AC belt, compressors seize. Ac belt goes to the right the power steering and alternator to the left.

I'll give the garage a ring in the morn and advise to start looking there then,

Thanks
