I'd just like to let you all know I actually have my car back on the road again!! I'm sure many of you are familiar with the issues I have had for many months.

That's the first time she's been on the road at all since October and the first time she has run properly since the engine swap last May

In fact I will go as far as to say it's the first time the car has ever run and handled anything like properly since I bought her in 2011

Lots and lots to say but the main things I guess are

Fitted 'Yellow Jacket' coil packs

Fitted the GTX2860r turbos :w00t:

Fitted 600cc Injectors from PFI in Canada - and they are Red yyayy!!

Fitted the Zeta-R coilovers and adjustable tensioner arms supplied by MeisterR when we had that group buy last year

Lots an lots of other issues resolved - like I had two broken rear springs for example and some nastily worn steering component (ball joint or something like that, can't quite remember what it was called but Lee Dent would tell you)

Other than that the oil leak on the rocker covers was finally fixed (and some polished covers fitted at the same time)

A very nasty oil leak around the oil-tree basically caused by old botched jobs (probably historic issues that have been there for a long time)

New coil pack and injector harness connectors, LOTS of worn out hoses replaced with nice new red ones, oil lines, vacuum leaks fixed, missing bolts, missing hose clips, crossthreaded bolts, metal swarf, some horrendous gaskets..... guys the list goes on and on

Anyway she's back on the road and I can honestly say my car now sounds, drives and handles like a completely different car! Currently I'm running a base map from Noz that means she runs OK on the new turbos/injectors but is not optimised for them

Oh and the icing on the cake she MOTed first time with no advisories!

I just want to say HUGE thanks to Mr Lee Dent for sorting all this out after Silverline Racing ceased to trade and were unable to finish the job they had started (big thanks to Steve at Silverline though for recommending me to fit GTX2860s)

So that's my Zed back on the road for the summer

On the todo list:

Get car remapped (soon as Noz is free so hopefully next week or two)

Fit a series 2 PTU (does anyone have one for sale?)

Later in the year

Fit performance rad (I already have a suitable electric fan)

Fit a performance FMIC - plenty room behind the large scoop on my front bumper esp as now the aircon has been deleted

Fit AMS Manifolds

Longer term

Get my other engine stripped and look towards rebuilding that one with forged components

But for now - know what, I just want to enjoy driving her

got an issue with my Z at the mo , off to Lee's on a trailer to diagnose what's happened :sweatdrop:

I also saw your car at Lee's and it looked well good :) Glad you're pleased with the Zed...Lee certainly does a top job :)

Good to hear it up and running dickie, shame about silverline as Steve always seemed a knowledgable and honest guy, rare these days... Be careful with your AMS manifolds, there have been some quality issues. I would expect though if your buying through Z1 rather than AMS directly, that they screen them. Worth having that chat though.

Excellent matey, seen this being done bit by bit and was good to see the progress, unfortunately I wasn't there when he got it running as that's the best bit :(

Congrats and make sure you get the use out of it ;)

Oh I will, I will..... the missus would kill me if we don't get the pleasure of driving it ('you spent £xx000 on a car we never even see!!')

So I need to keep the car on the road now for the summer so no more big jobs yet..... though I can still plan for the winter months :devil2:

Cheers guys
