Just wondered who is going to Japfest this year and if we have anything planned for either a convoy or a rendezvous point for members????

I was going, I booked leave and bought tickets, but typically something came up that took priority so I had to let my tickets go :(

Leave early boys! You want to be arriving around 6, coming from your way the m4 down is going to be busy and the traffic will be mental getting in if your late. See you all there.

Ummmm I'm in;

Hinckley tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday Torquay( might stay down depending on the whole oil tree buisness) then broadway Worcestershire Friday... Any use? I've gotta get the last few bits done tuesday night so that's out.

That works! Wednesday I have to go to South Devon! I can pass by Bridgwater which is close to Hinckley.....

Well I am in the office tomorrow which is in Wellingborough.....actually, if you're going to Torquay from lovely Leicester, you'll drive right past my place (Portishead Marina). I am only a few miles from the motorway.

Il be going home mate, I've got to much to do tomorrow night to be away.

It is always hard to meet up with people when you have no idea what they look like........lol

Mechanical and biological failures stopped play for me unfortunately. Was pretty gutted but the weather softened the blow. Any pictures guys?

The club is famous for its "no show on the day" turnouts.Japfest just followed the pattern.:innocent:

The norm is 20 people say they are coming....10 turn up!!

The car is relatively uncommon now.

So even with a full club attendance many clubs will turn out bigger numbers.

350Z being a good example. Many thousands on the road so bigger numbers at a show.

I've been the last three years on the trot. At half past 7 Friday night I realised I had exhausted all avenues to get my car there :(

I'd driven home that lunch time and was literally falling asleep. Starting at half 3am to arrive at 6 was a receipt for disaster.

No one was about when I walked past the 300s, I also couldn't start a thread to try arrange to meet anyone. Next time tho....

Can't believe it took two and a half hours to get in!!

i pre paid tickets and sat on the m4 turn off for 2 hours before giving up and reading on a forum for japfest that there had been major accidents...

 

Traffic was far worse that i anticipated.
