Does anyone know where to thread the tubing that goes from the back of a boost gauge through to the engine? I cannot find a single hole in the rear of the engine bay.

Any pointers/pics? I want to install an after-market boost gauge in the car...

Cheers,

Greg

The common place is to go in via the steering column. It's a tight fit but if you push a bit of wire gentle under the grommet you can pull the vac tube through that way. You can also go through the same hole that the ecu loom goes on the passenger side.

just drill a small hole like I did just about the pedals

And dont buy a cheap gauge like i did and have the needle bouncing around on vacume...

There is a grommet behind the inner wheel arch that goes into the sills..... you can then bring this up behind the plastic trim by your feet....

This is where we often bring through power cable for the audio from battery on passenger side.....

Look at part 2 on this thread and it shows you where the grommet is and how to feed through to it..... It's the same process just you will be using a vacuum pipe instead.....

Hope this helps....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I've put an easy pic up mate, squash a steel coat hanger with the end of the vac line in it and feed through, you can get away with pulling the inner arch back (I did if IIRC).

Just taken some pics but cant upload images? can link from web though?
