Anybody done this or do ya usually just paint em, got my slicky in a thousand bits and want to freshen up the rocker covers, I'd rather powder coat but there's wee plastic bits on the inside of em which I'm guessing won't agree with the oven!!

Any advice appreciated!

You need to take out the inside baffle trays to avoid trapped grit ect...now the fun comes with reasembly and fitting them securely so they dont fall into the cams.I bought a set that already had been done but was poorly rivited back together and i have a 2mm hole that leaks right through from the inside to the top of cam cover allowing a slight oil weepage. Iff i had to give the cam covers a colour ide now deffo just paint in future and keep baffles intact as Nissan nature intended:wink:

Didn't the heat from the oven melt the plastic parts inside the rocker covers bud??

the plastic bits seem like the can handle the heat,

just make sure no grit gets in there...

Just seen a set powder coated and the plastic bits are fine...
