Hi guys I've got my Z for sale, on the forum, piston heads, autotrader, gum tree and pre-loved (thought I'd cover all bases)

I have her up for £2999 willing to deal at £2700 without the expensive stereo system. From your guys honest opinion is this priced correctly? Or is it to high? I've got a feeling it is a bit over?... Was thinking of reducing price further. I bought in February with a part exchange I gave my mk4 golf in (worth £8-900) plus £2200 for this Z and I've spent 1k on it in the past month, so I bought it for say 3k spent 1k on it It's a good honest car.

Would love it to go to a z enthusiast

Here's the link for piston heads..

Please let me know guys and I can amend price.

Cheers in advance!

Being an NA it reduces it's appeal to many.

Though it's a shortie which is good.

I think the price is OK, but that front bumper and especially those rear lights will be putting people off (in my opinion)

Ok cheers guys I'll have a think and maybe change it by the end of the day

you are in a position that the car is far from standard in appearance. This fact will affect the market size you have for it.

So there is no reason why it isn't worth the money you are asking for it.

The problem you have is finding someone who will want that particularly car with its mods, its a taste/preference thing.

(sort of what has been said)...

best of luck with the sale.

I think it's a fair price, these cars don't sell awfully quickly. If you have or can find cheap enough the stock tail lights I think you will increase it's sales potential. Seems to be a few going up for sale ATM, it's about a month too soon though.

What can sometimes dictate a value in anything is the sellers need for money...for instance iff you wanted 3K for a car on monday and on the tues your home was being snatched by the bank over 2K then its resonable to assume ide buy the car for £1800. Your car looks a good one so iff you can hang out ide wait for the best price matey which ime sure you will get:)

Ok thanks for all your sensible replies guys. I think I'll leave the advert as it is, maybe re-evaluate the price in a few weeks

Cheers guys!

What the others said above Harms......

.......You have it advertised at a reasonable price; and it has not been on sale for that long, so keep at it mate. You're just getting impatient because you want that TT version. GLWS..

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Hope you have that paintcode mate. My last Z was that exact colour. Still have the rear bumper off it and put a veilside extension and put on current one. So when the sun hits it, the top bumper section shows the flakes. Anyhow, it was a right pain having that colour as i didn't have the code so couldn't change bodywork to my liking. So it meant having the whole car sprayed. Just giving the heads up as it is a restricted matter. Great looking Z though. I'm sure we saw each other a week or so ago :)

Yeah I think we did mate, on the mini round about at the top of Springwell road, I was going around you gave me way. I kept looking at your motor and not where I was supposed to be going lol!

I know what you mean about the paint mate it's a pain in the ass to get ahold off, luckily the cars body work is pretty good apart from the lip on the bumper, I was thinking about that getting that fixed up the maybe wrapping just the bumper in a carbon fibre vinyl but decided not to and leave to the new owner to decide how they want it.

Small world....lol

Price is fair, i think the rear lights and the paint is the main marmite here.

And good photos really help to sell.

Photograph the car with the engine off and the aerial down.

Wash it again and take the pictures when the sun is not so low, so the metal flake doesn't look so 'dirty'.

Maybe take the pics from a bit further back somewhere?

That interior looks very nice quality, maybe a couple of more pics of it.

And fix the speedo if you have the part, bit of an off-putter, like you said it just takes a minute.
