It's not often I ask for peoples opinions, I generally tend to go my own way with cars and sod what people think.

I want to make sure I get this one right though.

I've never liked the alloys that the car came with. The offsets are crap, and have spacers fitted.

But with all the rest of the money I am throwing at the car over the next few months I can't afford a full set of alloys and tyres.

So plan is to do a DIY refurb. I've done this before, so not phased by it.

I'll be keeping the polished rim, but what are folks thinking about the centre spokes?

Doing them silver just doesn't seem right, as it's too....dull.

I've considered BMW Sepang bronze or maybe an anthracite of some description.

If anyone is good with photoshop, feel free to have a play at changing the colours.

Here's what they look like at the moment (you can't see the lacquer on the dish is shot, and some of the spokes are bubbling)

I would personally keep them silver but play around with the offsets to make them compliment the car a bit better.

the off sets looks ok. just not keen on the wheels but if you do have to keep them do them silver

Agree with Joel. There's loads that can be done with the offsets. Rear especially look like they could do with some added track. Keep the centres silver IMO.

For sure it needs better offsets.

It has small non-hubcentric spacers on (came like that when I bought it). I'll be putting on H&R Hubcentric spacers in the near future.

I get what people say about silver....but it just looks boring. Maybe if I went for one of the BMW silvers which has a wee bit of depth to it.

i agree with funky and joely, they can make a boring alloy on a plop car look so much better...and your car and wheels are decent so it would be a decent place to start.

wheel it was like this i went to get a quote for my wheels the day was quoted 475 to split the rims and paint the center's and rebuild, but they wanted to paint the polished rims, NO NO NO NO!!!! so he fones nother guy for a quote, holy feckin jesus. just to get the rims polished was between 6-800 quid, no danger. so lifted wheels stuck them back in the car and drove the hour and half back home. but i seen loads of combinations of paint jobs on the rims white rims with black center, blue center purple, reds, all with anthracite, gunmetal or silver rims.
