Hi all! Just a quickie to let anyone interested know that I have discovered the whereabouts of a GRP boot lid with the set back window, I don't want it as I don't like them personally but I will be going to see it tomorrow, if anyone is interested give me a shout.

Will move to for sale section if I collect it.

One of these!? Not sure you'll have too many takers if it is....

No mate, it's a complete lid in GRP with that style window.

Must have had one of those moulded to a GRP boot lid then.

There was an orange zed that parked near Leysdown with one of them,

It had a wide arch kit, it was about 6 yrs ago at the time I really liked it and I liked wide arches and round lights.

Now I only like zeds with nearly nothing on...

Funny how things change.

Sounds like my idea of hell!

Hi Chris,

not wanting to come down with a rule trip mate - but you have to be a fully subscribed member to sell on the forum. If you want to buy the boot lid for yourself, then go ahead - but if you're buying it with the intention to sell it on here, then you'll have to subscribe first or else your thread will be deleted!

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Those alloys are VERY nice. I was with him when he had just got them and started refurbing them. They'll absolutely transform the stance of your car. Get them on pronto! :D

Mine to now, but in my early 20s it looked like a Ferrari lol...

The orange one I'm sure is the car on z centre with cobra wide arch

i will m8 they will be getting refurbed and the dent on the two front wheels taken out. just deciding on colour.

Well.....as much as I dislike 'white wheels', with your car being white, white centres 'can' look good. I was always dead against white until I saw the JWT Z32.....this thing has white centres on its Work Equips and IMO, looks perfect. I'd always shoot for silver though, as it's clean, sharp and modern, but white works well too on some wheels on white cars.

Steer clear of black or any garish colours.

Eeeeooow! Stomach churning! I've never been into the 'Max Power' type scene of enormous bodykits and unsightly colours; glad you're not now either!

Aware of rules pal, but I never mentioned money anywhere so I was just letting any interested members know in advance, if I collect it it's available as I don't want it.

Do you mean that if anyone wants it, you'll collect it and give it to them for free (excl. resonable p+p)? As that is the only way that it can change hands on the forum without you subscribing, what your suggesting is that you act as a broker and even if I've got that wrong then the person selling it is also NOT a subbed member here ;)

Yes M8 thats my wheels now. each front has a small pot hole dent not massive and paint is peeling but they need to be split. but no company up here beside me would touch them, but i had to go further north to get them done and i seen pics of split rims he has done.

When you get the centres done, get them powder coated. It's more durable on wheels than regular paint is.

I used a guy a Nottingham to refurb an old set of Advan Siena wheels I used to have. See bottom of page 2 and the 3rd for a few photos. Alas, most have long since vanished into the ether, but there are a few still there.

The politics of it all..... Only trying to offer something for nothing, no one is buying anything from anyone, I said I knew where one was located and will collect it if its any good, doesn't matter, in the skip it can go....

Not politics mate - we just have forum rules which, in the interest of fairness, apply to everybody....

Hence I (and subsequently Steams) merely posted a reminder - as among your first comments, if I am not mistaken, was a reference to "moving it to the for sale section if you collect it."

So if you are offering to collect it on behalf of someone else; there's no problem. Similarly if you collect it and offer to give it away to another interested member - the same applies. As said; no sinister politics or foot stamping from us - we're just gently reminding anyone reading this thread that we're awake. Believe it or not, but other paid up members always bring these type of threads to our attention themselves, if they think we have been tardy in spotting anything which might be a potential unauthorised sale!! Dead sharp are our members mate:wink:

Hope that clears it up....

I am not a fan of coloured wheels, especially black, but this does really go well ! I do like that.

Alan........

Me dont like wheels the same colour as our cars, can you think what mine would look like with orange wheels. nasty.
