As thread said. In a few weeks im traverling to Nottingham, and although i dont intend on breaking down and have the sevice of green flag. Today was just looking through what i have been carring in the boot around with me under the carpet.my list:

8,9,10.11.12.13.14.15.16.17.18mm spanners 8,9,10,11,12mm sockets 1/4inch drive ractchet with extention .four foot torque wrench and sockets to fit wheel nuts 1/2 inch. Phillips and flathead screwdriver.12 volt meter tester thing.razer knife.really good set of jump leads had for years 80 quids worth really good.start a lorry and about twenty foot wraped around spare wheel.check. spare bulbs.and fuses.well will take spare under bonnet relay box just in case. Lecy tape and a torch al be it a tiny one.and just for this or any other long journey some three or four bottles of water toped up with water. Norm about ten ltrs oh and some antifreeze.oh and some rubber gloves. Do u think im overdoing it.apart from the water in the boot you wouldnt know i was carring it.

if i ever got pulled in my z the cops would thinks im a murderer stealing cars. 150pc general service kit, 3 other small tool kits, pliers, cutters, long nose pliers, a wrench, zip ties, box of rubber gloves, knife, jumper cables, big blue roll of tissue, auto smart fragrance spray, electric tape, paper tape, windscreen deicer, engine oil, work boots, spare clothes, beach towel, kitchen towel, various nuts and bolts, electric wires. lol thinks that's standard

I've got some polishing stuff, a picnic blanket and a large hammer!

Haha, I've a 100 pcs tool kit, 10l of water 5l oil, various spray greases, small electric gun, wire, hoses, bag of spares ( relays fuses, etc) Duct tape, cable ties, and loads more if I'm going any distance.

A spare chamois leather.

......but when I took my Z to southern France I took a small tool kit with some common size spanners, a small ratchet and some common size sockets + a screw driver. I never have problems with my Z and have complete confidence, so rarely have tools in it when driving in the UK or even short trips to northern France.

That's what I would class as OCD paranoia, OCP lol. Maybe I'm just naive as I only carry a jack and a bottle of foam and that's only if I'm leaving the country (along with obvious legal requirements like bulbs, hi-vis and triangle etc). Otherwise I carry whatever I have in my pocket, if I'm commuting to work I will have my leatherlady!

Lol its not like its needed all the time. They just stay there easier for when working on the car. And hey; its better to have and not need, then need and not have!! ;)

Heh heh - I have a picnic blanket in my Z too.....:lol:

 

Aside from the standard bits (well, the jack basically) and an extending handled wheel-brace, I just carry some detailing spray and a couple of micro-fibre cloths! I used to carry a litre of oil too; but as I've never had to top the Z up since the day I collected it, I don't remember if it's still there...
