I have just installed the above into my Z and it's great! Am like a dog with 2 and possibly even 3 c***s

I just walk upto the car with the fob in my pocket and as I get within 2m of the car the doors unlock

When I get in the car if I put my foot on the brake the start button flashes green and when I press it the car starts, pressing again will stop it

If I'm just wanting to switch the acc on while in the car I just press the button once without touching brake and the button goes blue and acc is on. Press again and goes off

I then get out of the car and walk away, listening to the clunk of the locking as I shuffle more than 2m away from the car.

The fob has lock/unlock over ride buttons on it just in case and is also able to remote start the car... AWESOME!!

No because you have to put your foot on the brake to activate the button. I suppose a beeper could be easily added that comes on when the button activates

can you emagine some kno? mucking about when your driving and push the button and cut u out ,that wouldnt be clever , i should emagine it wont ,if your in gear or cant unless the unit gets a signal to say the cars in netral; i would like to think/.

Depends if you know who you're letting get in your car with you.

The button only activates after you put your foot on the brake. You could easily wire it up so it's linked to the park inhibit wire aswell

Yeah I think that would be possible

The concept is great, I've been thinking on doing this for ages, personally rather than snapping a key in the barrel I'd remove it completely and mount the switch where the barrel used to be, out of sight and still easily accessible where your used to it being as well as out of the way of arse passengers lol

I was thinking about turning my ignition on through an alarms auxiliary output, but this system takes the complications away, this may sound like a daft question but have you checked the system to make sure the car is immobilised when the passive locking is in "lock" mode??

I have just asked Graham (Groover) if we could make this a group buy guys, I will post up on here when I receive his answer. Are you ok with that securicar? Could you see how many and how much we could get them for, for each amount, e.g, 5 = so much, 10 = so much if you know what I mean....lol. Cheers fella.

Yes I have and it is. Also if the button or the brake is pressed while it's locked it will set the alarm off

Yes that's fine by me

Id be interested in a GB on this.

For the full system i take it the price of £95 quoted above is correct for a single unit?

Neil

I know this may sound a little thick, but would the system turn off the alarm when it unlocks the doors if used in conjunction with a Laserline alarm/immobiliser?

Not if your alarm can only be disarmed by its own fob

Ah, ok cheers for that. I would have to use the alarm fob too? The Laserline also unlocks and locks the doors too, how would that fare with this system? I'm not good with electrics....lol.

I have had a reply from Graham regarding a group buy, and he has given it his full backing (cheers Graham) so it's down to you securicar, see what good deal you can get with your supplier.

Good stuff :)

Doubtful but does can the alarm arm/disarm from turning the key in the door locks?

No buddy, it's all on the fob. I am wondering if it would be worth buying the whole system with the alarm too, however I get insurance discount with my alarm being certified.

Nah the alarm can't be controlled by this system then I wouldn't say, not unless the man himself knows summit i don't!!!

how about working with a thatcham toad ai606 alarm I realise I would have to use the fob to unarm first, but would it still work then,

also I have a turbo timer fitted, any issues there?
