I got my zed back today, been waiting forever lol...

I picked it up has a shell with doors on cause I picked all the other bits up Thursday.

Can't fit car and all the parts in the garage so had to throw bumpers etc on, I haven't lined them up properly yet gonna do that tomorrow.

But run out of time today so ive got to leave it outside in the rain tonight to the space is clear to get it in.

The carpets are coming out again so im sure a little bit of water wont hurt it to be honest I have no choice.

It has no windows in either lol...

I really like the colour and its really quite white, its so hard to explain the colour but now its dark the street lamp is hitting the side and can see all the metallic it looks great.

Anyhow heres a couple of pics,

who removed the front and rear screens and whats was the cost of the respray

Bro in law done respray, I done bits for him (mechanic)...the screens I cut out and have a back window to put in but gotta get a new front screen.

and gotta buy the trims for rear and front screen.

I'd be sad leaving it out in the elements like that. It's going to look great when it's all back together Terry. Well done bud. Glad you stuck with it as I know there were a few times you felt like giving up!

were the front and rear window trim bust when removing them? mine is getting respray but the front and rear screen is staying in

The top one broke on front screen but the 2 running along either side came off no problem.

The rear screen the top I saved but tje big long one had no chance.

Last time I had a respray I left screens in and we masked it up and it came out fine and never peeled or anything.

I just wanted to replace all the trims this time.

could you just remove the trim but leave the glass in ? or is it once you remove the trim the glass must come out

  • Author

The front side trims come out but the tops bonded in with the screen.

The rear is bonded with the screen, sure jeff had a way of taking the rear out and using a different trim.

But the painter will be able to mask the front top and rear no problem.

so you can only remove the front to then is the whole of the rear trim bonded in

Yeah mate and its normally so brittle it ends up in a million bits.

how about the roof trim how does that come off

could have removed all the trim but left the glass in the paint would have got right were it needed to go without removal but some people do remove i nearly did unil i relised i didnt need to but its preference i guess deff woulnt go to all that trouble and not remove trim though that woulnt work. that said it looks great . shame u didnt have time to buy a cheap car cover for 30 sheets. gona look the dogs dangleys, that said when and if you get two mins Terry give me a ring m8 cheers. oh dont go spending a couple hundred quid on a rear screen seal either when your window glazer can fit like a new moddern rubber in there for about 30 nuggets. smae with the top front bit aswell chap.

will just leave the glass and trim alone then hay

I'd leave it to the painter cause they deal with these things all day every day.

Cause if your anything like me you'll regret it cause everything will break lol...
