today has been a very bad day as the z has been involved in a crash.

luckily no one else involved, but just bad circumstance road conditions for a rear wheel drive car.

Police have recovered it and its 100% a complete write off.

So my zx days are done.

have got some spare parts that if anyone needs them they are free to collect as wont be needing them anymore.

Also happily noone been hurt not even so much as a scratch.

Not got any pics tho before anyone asks for them, lol.

just a bad day overall.

Gutted for you bud , but maybe not all for nothing as you say , you have memories , there just as important sometimes , i have had eight 300's , can remember every one , good times mostly , now and again bad , but as you say no one hurt , a blessing , i have gone through the same , hurts like hell at first but it will pass , chin up , hope you get something back on her.

well said...cant agree more...its the memories that count, they cant take those away from you

ive had some great memories of mine and the people on this site, and they will live with me till the day I die

hi dave...thanks for your text about this.

im really gutted for you, after all the time and money you have put into it.

luckily I had sold mine first, but I was still heartbroken to see it end up the way it did after all the time and money I had spent on it.

they become a part of you,and its hard to let go.

maybe one day when things start to look up in this country, then we might get back into the zed world again.

glad your ok anyway.

My zed kicked out on me earlier too, luckily I managed to catch it before the kerb caught the wheel. Roads are definitely getting more treacherous for our are happy zeds!

Ditto not even doing 20mph and it kicked out fair bit of opposite lock to get it back. Completely out the blue aswel bone dry road. Just stone cold tyres I think. Be carefull guys the roads are shit ATM. My van is absolutely filthy with mud and salt.

yeah hes already sent me a link to it, but its too far stripped for me and although i like wide arch's its not my cuppa tea in style.

could really do with one that requires a engine as my engine didnt get touched, so should still be good.

didnt even lose any water and can reuse the radiator.

i dont think its possible to lose the zx bug, lol.

Although im looking for a decent shell to drop my engine into, the ultimate decision will be decided by what i get/dont get from the insurance company.

but for now im looking at my options and although getting another one would be a daft thing for me to do, it would be a direction that would put a smile back on my face.

I've recently, as in I moved in just over a fortnight ago brought my first house. We were short on a few grand, I had to face a choice of an easy option, as all my family were telling me of sell the zed. Or find that cash else where. I thought long and gRd about it and realised to get what I'd want and need roughly £3500 for my car it was going to take me 3/6 months to sell it. In 3/6 months I could save the money, the zed stayed.

Your in a different position however, the cash is coming your way. Is it enough to solve the issue though, are you on a set time scale? Would you simply be robbing peter to pay Paul? If your going to end up buying another you will effectively be in debt to yourself! I say keep zeding you need something nice to focus on aside from boring house crap.

So how did it happen?

Back end gave way on wet road changing lanes off a roundabout.

Gutted. This EXACTY thing happened to me the day I collected my Z (wet road). No experience of the car, let alone in the wet. Luckily I managed to regain control. Never drive in the rain or winter now. Sorry that yours was the first of the season to go to Z heaven. Sadly, it'll unlikely be the last. Stay safe peoples....or keep the Z in the garage.
