After going to a mates scrapyard for some wheels for a 323, i got talking about my zed and he said his son had one a while ago that he broke up for parts, but he has another one he doesnt want to break, but doesnt have time for any more, so i said let me talk to him and see if i cant buy it off him.

10 mins later i bought it, a black UK J reg Auto TT with scorpian exhaust, solid sills, alloy wheels, 103,000miles, engine sounds sweet. Got horrible Fiat back lights which will come off, needs a bit of TLC, but perfect for my winter project, aside from the one im driving, project

Cant believe i found one so local to me and soooooo cheap

Didnt have the wheels for the 323, but in the upside, pick it up next Monday and will take some pics, but happy ive got myself a TT even though i still love my NA:thumbup1: And i can steal the maf for mine for now till i sort another

why get a TT when you could have used the cash and got paint :tt2: lol

But seriously good find there buddy.

as to what to do... Drive the TT over the winter, do nothing to it. get the NA finished then swap and drive the NA and sort the TT.

Your nearly there with the NA so hopefully wont take you that long. then you can enjoy the NA and all the work you have put into it and then concentrate on sorting the proper Zed :whistling: :whistling:

Ive had the paint over a year Neill lol, but thats the plan, to give me a chance to get the NA stripped for paint, as its been my daily driver, its been hard to take it off the road long enough or i get withdrawal symptoms

I was like that with the Yellow Zed, think i had the paint a year before it went on, it wasnt my daily driver though, just could find any one willing to spray it with paint i had bought, as they wouldn't guarantee the work.

what colour you going Graham?

Yellow lol, its actually hello yello which believe it or not is a smart car colour, however with white primer the colour is deeper than you see it on a smart car, same as my engine parts

Ive got a can of Daytona and its a bit fadey looking, paler in hue. It all started when i bought my 99 spec bumper and got a supposed colour match to the original yellow the car was in, but i went with it in the end and like it :thumbup1:

That looks mint Graham, nice work Sir

Cheers Dave, but unfortunately with not keeping on top of the cleaning lol, it looks a bit grimier than the pics, so will have to paint the cambelt covers again due to dirt ingress into the paint

Love that engine colour theme...for a split second i thought you had yellow jacket coil packs there Graham too:biggrin:

Picked her up today and taken a few pics, the rain didnt help so most of the spots you see are rain drops on the lens lol.

Needs a fair bit of tlc, already sorted a couple of vac pipes that were off, but the engine is very sweet with no rattle whatsoever even on start up, so its looking like mechanically good so far.

That looks a bit of a bargain Graham!!

Good luck with your new toy mate:thumbup:

Cheers Rich, you wouldnt believe what i paid for her :whistling: but it does need alot of tlc, drivers wing mirror, NS front wing, but apart from a couple of lacquer peels in places and one rust bubble on a targa, its not too bad and it doesnt leak
