Not a thread for moaning about the cost of fuel before anyone takes it off topic.

Just wondering what sort of mpg people get from there zeds.

I worked mine out as an average of 16.45mpg purely round town type driving.

thats with venom555 injectors fitted and boost only being used around the 7psi range(read from avcr).

So how does others compare? would be good to see if its running efficiently or badly compared to others.

I know I put in £35 a week and do roughly about 140miles on that to and from work with some left over for the weekends. This includes some spirited driving on dual carrage ways.

Running 1.2Bar boost on HKS 2530's so not bad MPG as a daily drive! Think this also helps using it as a daily drive over the years as things don't tend to clog up as quick like O2 sensors or electrical connectors etc. Even still on my First PTU after 12 years of ownership on a 22 Year old car!

You should find that creams into the low 20s with more mixed driving and mostly motorway cursing even higher. It's the stop start or high revs that drink the fuel with these cars.

I do about 45 - 50 miles a day when I use the Zed and I find I'm usually putting £30 in every other day :(

And that's driving it like a vicar most of the time!!

Low 20s for me at best and was my average from driving from Portishead to Toulouse. Car running @ 1bar with JD chip.

I used to get about 19-20 mpg but since the bigger exhaust has gone on I've got 17 from the last 3 or 4 tanks. And thats on nothing but tesco momemtum. But mines only used for fun so it tends to be spirited driving. And that's running 1 bar of boost with some jap map, and I have got one lamda unplugged and I've got a feeling my others on the way out.

Think I'm guna get a new pair of lamdas fitted and get a remap.

mine is reasonably standard apart from Japspeed catback and 18" wheels. on my work journey of 50miles I was seeing around 26mpg of mixed driving so quite happy with that!

Low 20s average for me also - and whilst I'd like to see some of the higher figures that others have achieved, myself; I think the best I have seen is about 24. But realistically I typically get about 21-ish......

And I salute anyone who can squeeze 28mpg from a 300zx - hell, I barely get that from my SLK350.....:crying:

Richard:devil:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I was getting 9mpg around here. Then I changed the plugs then it jumped to 19mpg. Then got it mapped by noz and it jumped to 33mpg on a run :)

beauty of an NA, - its running a custom selin twin intake, adjustable FPR, full japspeed exhaust and thats about it.

Hi all, I'm getting as much as and even over 30 mpg on a run at proper motorway speeds and was surprised as you can imagine..

Mine is a 91 300zxTT with Central20 ECU with I believe a DTM Motorsport chip and straight through exhaust no cats and uprated intercoolers.. and a boost controller. Car used to belong to a chap on here named Rich, I've had it about six months now... it also ran a 12.8s quarter at 109mph at the Japshow finale last month with some 15 inch Hoosiers on the rear and a bar of boost.. It also managed 158mph on the runway at RAF Marham in just over a mile..

So it's not running ridiculously weak either, it would have gone pop by now... it's also been to Paris twice.
