Im looking at getting 19s but not sure what route to go down ,ive found the wheels I like but don't really want the kenda tyres they can supply not sure there any good

so im looking at getting the wheels first and sorting the tyres out after

the offset of the wheels are 25 fronts and 35 rears, the tyres they have spec for the wheels are 245/35/19 fronts 275/30/19 rears ive had a phone about on half decent tyres and most are saying they only do 275 /35/19 would this size rub the rear arch ,im running standard shocks ,should the fronts run 35 and rears 30?

anyone out there got this set up ive found a set of tyres called Achilles anyone come across them and if there any good

I would really stick to proper branded tyres mate, if your on a budget go for falken a or toyos. Pretty good for the monies. 245 up front is pretty wide on a road based car aswel you may find it tracks more than you would like. To work out your offset you want take a tape Measure and measure from the compressed hub face to the distance from the arch you want. Obviously the midde of the wheel is 0 the +\- refers to the distance the rear face of the wheel(the mounting surface) is away from the centre line.

What wheels you looking at mate?

I've got 275/30/19s on the back of mine on standard suspension and there's no rubbing at all. Couldn't tell you what the wheel offset is though...

What width are the front and rear wheels?

Ive got some Achilles on my rears and for a budget tyre im quite impressed, its a daily driver and sticks well in the dry and wet, i needed new rear tyres quick for the MOT last year and they were the only tyres they had in stock the right size, after a few thousand miles they still look like new and now im thinking of getting the same for the fronts before the next mot.

front are 8" rears are 9"

They should fit nicely with no arch work. The tyres will come up quite fat on those widths but it depends what 'look' you want. The sizes quoted are correct, so yes they should be 35 front and 30 rear, although id be inclined to fit 235/35/19 and 265/35/19. This also depends on your ride height and camber settings.

any reason why you have 35 on the fronts and 30s on the rear why not have the same

I'm with Joel there.....

You can go to 275s on the rear; but for 9 inch wheels, stick with 265 - it should cost you less too:wink:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

yeah im gona go with 235 and 265 but can I have 35s on front and rear or do I have to stick with 35s front and 30s rear?

As above so even though the profile number is different the tyre wall shouldn't be as the widths are different.

so I could go with 35s on both then,,just the local place I use say there having trouble with 265/30/19s and would recommend 35s on the rear

Hi mate,

You do need to have different profiles front to rear, if you are going with different width tyres. Whatever the tyre place says, it is important to make sure that the over all rolling radius of all 4 wheels is close to the same. Hence if you have 235/35/19 front, you have to go with "30" on the rear if you chose the wider 265 tyres.
