I certainly wouldn't....I'd get some MSP manifolds and getting them ceramic coated seperately. Steer WELL CLEAR of stainless ones, however, if you're looking at ceramic coated ones, then I am sure you know that already.

the listing price is £ 189 they sell another one for £150 which are stainless steel, the one you have listed phutumsch in your garage mods.

no the listing is wrong, is usually £189 someone just messed it up......

back on topic please as i see a few have fitted these, was gonna buy Draxans but he never fitted them so couldnt give me an opinion.....

Stainless ones tend to crack, the exhaust design and weight of the turbo mean your likely to crack a weld on the first speed bump I'm afraid. Now with the welding up/changing a manifold requiring mahout work is a poor idea. As Si says get some msp from the states.

Yeah I don't have a problem with mine :thumbup1:, not sure if this was the seller but the price seems about right.

thanks pal , any noticeable improvement in power/ driveabilty also are the louder or cause and vibration issues?

Price is for the total number available 10 off & £189 = £1890.00..... and that ends the Maths lesson for today children! Lol.

I'm sure a number of members on here have taken these ceramic versions without problem as they were based on the same moulds of the AMS units. Loads of politics behind who produced what, but they perform, supposedly as well but at half the price.

One of the Ebay sellers had these on offer at £179 a couple of weeks back.

I had them fit along with a load of other upgrades and went up nearly 200BHP overnight if you like, so cannot comment on that one particular item.

However, I read this article a while ago and have found it again - the pics are long gone but the text is interesting, HTH.

ill just buy a set, for that price its worth a try :devil2: seeing as you say theyre ok

My thoughts are unless you already have the engine out or a need to remove the turbo`s its a lot of work for small gain.

Sorry to hijack thread, but is it worth ceramic coating oem manifolds?

And if so, who is good to do this process??

Cheers

russ get the ceramic ones from ebay pal there ported and only 189.... surely it would cost near that just to get your coated.

Wouldn't go for stainless steel log type unless you manage to get hold of a set of SZ inconel steel log manifolds. I have these manifolds as well as the ceramic coating. The ceramic coating is amazing I ran the car for around 15mins and spotted a leak from the down pipe. I could touch the manifold without burnung my fingers.

This is the experience of Greg Dupree from Specialty-Z with stainless and inconel manifolds:

http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2347243/INfo.html

With the Z32 the problem of cracking is made worse by the weight of the turbos hanging off the manifolds. For a

time SZ insisted that to provide a warranty against their inconel manifolds cracking that their test pipes with flexible

joints were also fitted. Ultimately SZ stopped selling inconel manifolds and went with cast iron from Mike Smith.
