For those that missed it yesterday I smashed my bumper so it looked like this

But today I've been busy and it now looks like this

I'll update more on the progress as I go along.....

Get rid of the whiteboard mate! TT bumpers look good...Stillen lip would finish it off and your car would look fantastic! :)

The Greddys are nice mate but as you have stated they have too much "gob" going on for my liking

Yeah stillen lip, as small a number plate as I can get away with, and some blacked out fog ducts and indicators. It's going to be awesome!!!

Can't argue with that :thumbup1:

Even a standard rectangular one would look better mate. I've had my 3/4 size one on for 8 years now without a single incident.

Hey, there's a 'like' button now, don't-cha-know!

So here's a couple of shot's of the progress yesterday

2013-09-09 15.23.06.jpg

The piece that's on in the pic with the polystyrene and the fog light's in, does it hold any other purpose? i.e. if I remove the fog lights and replace with ducts like I plan, can I just remove this hole bar? or does it need to stay?

the bumper was sumat cheep I picked up from a local scrapyard, it's not in the best condition, but it looked to be in one piece, a few scrapes and one big deep scratch but the guy was gentle taking it off and he kept all the screws, even the plastic clips from underneath too. so it was probably worth what I paid, and it came with another one of them bar things with one fog light in, and a wheel arch liner.

any idea what this does, the new bumper came with one too, but the bloke wasn't sure what it was, he said it was air temp????

random picture I took, I forgot what my BOV's looked like...

the old one came off ok, apart from me snapping one of the stud's on the wing

2013-09-09 15.35.48.jpg

managed to get a bite on the remaining bit though so it's got a nut on it....

Turns out the bumper isn't as good a fit I was hoping for though, my wing was slightly damaged from the previous time I think so the bolt holders were bent and needed a slight bit of adjustment. but it still sits like this on either side

I'm hoping when I get all the bits and it goes to the body shop it'll get sorted then.

Had a little bit of sunshine today, so couldn't resist a test fit.

It's a tight fit, don't think it would even need screwing, but i'll let the body shop sort that out.

Looks a good whack higher at the front now, which means I can drop it a little more too

Awesome! Get some perspective shots though as that'll compliment the kit far more than any other bumper IMO!

When you get the bumper painted, get some replacement foglight glass from Z1. It'll make the front end look crisp and fresh. :)

Yeah I should of done really, but with it been dark I figured they'd have to be close up to even notice.

No need for the fog lights though, they're coming out. got some ducts of Dave to go in.

And these just need a wet'n'dry rub down they should be about done

Yeah I thought this, but you can see the checker through the tint, where as with these been crystal clears they should look smooth, and hopefully about the same black as what the moustache will be going.

Haha, all in good time. still haven't decided weather or not to do the roof bars yet. couldn't find any pictures of jimmers. I should probably give him a shout

I have photos of Jimmer's, but not any that show the roof. His is satin black from memory.

Get the roof bars black, it makes such a difference. The roof looks more complete, the car looks more squat and it looks far more modern.

I agree and I would ALWAYS suggest a high gloss black to match the shine of the glass AND the door pillars.

Looks good Ste.

Much better look than your Greddy nose.

It's the lip I'll be going for once I get the suspension sorted, and a few other bits n bobs.

Thanks guys.

Gloss black is what I was thinking, a real nice shiny one on the roof bars and on the moustache. It should finish off the external nicely, then just the stance to sort (but that's for another day)

But as far as fitting the fog ducts, do I need to drill a hole behind them to get the air flow or is there something else to remove?
