Made it down to the south of France in the Z!

Taken my Z to France many times, but mainly to Normandy and Brittany and once to the west coast.

I write this from deep south near the foothills of the Pyrenees in glorious settings after a non-stop drive across France in my Z. I am pleased to say that the car absolutely ran without fault. So proud of the car. I know it's in pretty good shape, but to actually put it through its paces and prove it makes you appreciate the car. Testiment also to a wonderful engine that Jimmer built me all these years ago and the maintenance he and I carry out on it.

I even patted the thing and said 'well done' just now! Do you know what? After all that driving in an old sports car.....I didn't get out and ache all over, I didn't have to stop every 20 minutes and the car felt every bit as comfortable as my 8 month old VW!!

Effortless and totally a pleasure. Took the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to St. Malo. Took the t-tops off just north of Rennes and by the time I hit Bordeaux, the temperature had climbed into the low 30s.

The car got epic amounts of attention as it always seems to in France. Pretty much every car that overtook me on the Autoroute carrying a passenger....that passenger would almost ALWAYS turn round and stare upon passing. Kids pointing, women glancing....amazing such an old car can still do so much. I am talking about the Z32 in general here!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Sealink? Sealink haven't been around for about 15 years. Do you mean Stena? They did buy Sealink, but that was years ago. Brittamy have always been really good with my Z when I've taken it. They're probably used to it due to the cars theu have to handle when the LeMans 24hr race is on. A lot of people take all sorts over then.

:oops:yes Stena lol
