TWO YEARS ago I was banned for ONE WEEK for saying a few things on a JAE thread that mods decided were out of order.

 

I came back with NO DIGS, not even Thinly Veiled.

Bye Folks - it lasted about 2 days.

Well I've been a member here for some time now. Don't post much but have seen all the "friction".

 

What Rose put in the thread that was closed was a nothing comment and the reaction was disproportionate. If it had happened to me I would have been pissed.

 

Frankly, to a third party it looks like people were looking for a reason to have a go in this instance.

 

Sorry for jumping in, but I have to say I agree with the above post. As a relatively new member who reads probably 95% of all posts (sad I know :) )

I really do think the mods and committee do an excellent job and keep this place running well and I understand there has been problems in the past with Mrs hollowpoint (please realise this is the only forum I use and I do not know of Mrs hollowpoint anywhere else) But it does look like she has an extremely short leash. Maybe that's how you guys want a previously banned member to be controlled. I just thought it might be useful to everyone involved to be aware of how this looks to the average addicted forum user. Maybe the smilies are genuine, maybe not, I guess you guys know more than me. However if I see posts ended with them I always believe them to be in jest. Maybe I'm a little naive. :)

Thanks for the kind words. It's unfortunate that I cant say boo sometimes without someone getting their backs up. I'm trying to let it wash over my head ... hard to do sometimes. I'm here because my friends asked me to be, so I shall persevere a bit longer.

I agree with this, I am just here to chat, get advice, give advice and possibly make some friends along the way.....

I am guessing Mrs Hollowpoint, you have a fiery temper and can be taken the wrong way and I guess in the past things have been said the right way and taken that way...... if you get what I am trying to say...... It is a shame that everyone involved in today's misunderstanding got so upset, so quickly..... Everyone, please rise above it and don't believe every typed comment is a dig......Most of the time it is sarcasm or whit..... but is often read differently to the way it was written and meant....

 

Mrs Hollowpoint ...... I do think yours and your husbands car is absolutely stunning and I am enjoying reading your thread and seeing all you have done to your Z....

Too many people forget the Internet isn't real life. Yeah I'm on here a lot but I do a lot of waiting, both at work and in my own time. I'm currently sat behind my rods on this beautiful evening waiting for the rod to wrap over. This just fills some time between bites.

I was prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt as I thought you had read my post on where I stand and fully understood where I was coming from. But alas no, you felt the need to report it with another rant about a so called grudge I have against you. I give up with you as and as far as I'm concerned your nothing but trouble and quite frankly not worth the effort. A proper report with a genuine concern is always kept confidential. She has reported all the comments that mods and committee members have made in this thread for no other reason than trying to cause trouble.
