How much does it cost these days to fill the zed up?

Getting mine back on sunday (cant wait), just wanted a heads up before I fill up. How many litres does it hold?

Last time i put any in i think i was getting about 60miles to £20 (long time ago).

I filled up last week. £92, but it was almost empty. I'll be getting through 4-5 tanks in a week at the end of the month. That'll hurt!

From near empty (red light on) you're looking at around £95 to the top....

I've never had to put more than 65 litres in from memory - so probably 70 litres including the reserve

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I'd expect to pay £100 to fill a tank. I can get mid to high twenties without too much thinking on a long run, £20 don't get you far if your being a menace.

other point how much reserve do you get mines now on empty and cant get a fill up till sat how many miles roughly is the reserve holder? New cars get 30 but I gather its a lot less in these

I had my light on the other day and it only cost me £60

Was putting ultimate in and it was pumping the fuel in for ages and the gauge was stuck at 7p. Told the guy it wasn't working and he said just go to the next on. £60 and a full tank :lol

All depends how and where you drive it mate. Z32s can do 30 to the gallon on a good day, but next to nothing if you're urban driving/tanking it.

I have had 309 miles from about 63 litres but certainly no more - it's usually 260-285 depending on how much motorway driving I have done.....

....And as for the reserve, assuming a 70 litre tank, but the gauge reading empty/fuel light comes on at the point you need 65 litres, then 5 litres = 20 miles at around 18mpg. It's more likely the light will come on earlier to scare you (I have put as little as 61 litres in from it being apparently empty), so 20 miles should be the minimum you could expect. But don't quote me....

In this supra it was about. 40miles, and the mk3 was the same so the zed shouldn't be far off :)

Thanks, wish i hadnt asked lol. Not too bad though. Thought it was going to be more. Every time i get a year older, my right foot gets lighter plus now i drive a lorry for work i seem to go 56mph everywhere in any car.

Haha the amount of times I'm driving along in the car and look down and think why am I only doing 60 on a dual carriageway.

Was that '309' based on pure motorway driving? Most of my trip at the end of the month will be nice straight and smooth french Autoroute with a few choice Route Nationale roads thrown in for good measure. I am to stick cruise on at about 80 (their own speed limit on Autoroute).

Mostly motorway, but still a bit of a mixture.....

I filled up at Leigh Delamere (and reset the trip clock) on the way home from Chepstow a couple of Sundays back; then I did 2 local trips to Sainsburys, drove into London (well Chiswick House at the end of the M4) the Sunday before last, then finally last Sunday we went to Sheffield Park in Sussex (M40/M25/M23 and some 30mph A-roads through East Grinstead). On the way back we got stuck in slow M25 traffic for a fair few miles but I made it back to Beaconsfield Services (surprisingly) with the gauge showing empty - the fuel station at Cobham services was shut....:scared:

I used about 63 litres between the Leigh Delamere fill up and Beaconsfield 2 weeks later; the trip clock showed 309 miles. And I may have driven with a little more spirit than you intend to Si....

Other than that, I have managed 301 miles between fill-ups on a (very spirited) drive home from Keswick in my old red ZX. That was M6/M6 toll/M42/M40.....

Interedting. Reckon I might be able to get from St.Malo to Bordeux on a tank, then another half to Toulouse. Returning will be longer if I am to go back via the Milliau Bridge and through the Massif Centrale and onward to LeMans. Journey planning now and it's damn good fun!

Lately i drive mine when its below the empty line lol, my light doesnt bother coming on as its got used to it, but i reckon about a tenners worth at or just below the line. Dependent on accuracy of the gauges of course.

I remember the guy i bought mine off saying he never went below 1/4 of a tank. Ever since ive had it, it hardly goes over 1/4 of a tank :) It is annoying when the red ligt is on, you put a tenner in and the light is still on!

Well 72 litres at £1.35 a litre (approx) is £97 !!

Used to cost me under £40 to fill up when I first got mine .....

Oh how I miss those days! I remember being able to fill mine for a little over £50.

Took this picture in Tampa, Florida in January. Just to remind myself how ridiculously expensive fuel is in UK (and Europe for that matter).

Works out at about 57p litre. Even that is considered expensive in the U.S.

Oh, yeah, that's heading north and their fuel prices are going up at a faster rate than ours. That's on par with California prices. Cheaper in the Midwest. I filled up the Z32 I use for about $50 (£35) 3 years ago, I filled up that same car for about $35....£25!

Its all relative though, cheap fuel and but crap wages for the majority of American citizens in recent times, had many, many conversations with guys/ girls in the US whilst on holiday and its not all it seems, great for visiters from Europe though, imagine what US guys think when they come here!!

Wages in America, Most of Us are Have Nots

Submitted by Robert Oak on October 31, 2010 - 5:42pm

There are 150,917,735 wage earners in this country for 2009. That said, 24,315,992 of them earned less than $5000. 50% earned less than $26,261 in 2009. There are only 0.794% of wage earners who get more than $250,000 per year and only 1.266% of American salaries are over $200,000.

My last fill up was the morning of totb and was £100.54. That was at £1.44.9 per litre. And still had no fuel light before I filled up. Maybe it's broke. Never run it that low anyway. And it did 260miles to that tank. That's Bolton to totb (elvington), compete all day Sunday (8 1/4 miles and top speed runs), and 5 laps of the handling circuit plus queuing, warm up and cool down then drive home, take it to garage for mot, then Preston and home. 16mpg ish. Happy with that with 555 injectors and a heavy foot.

Cheers
