Right after seeing this thread there seems to be enough interest to try start a group buy on these :

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?171216-RHD-Wiring-Looms-new-from-Wiring-Specialties

So I've started to ball rolling and emailed the company on behalf of the club and its members.

To get a rough idea can everyone who's interested post your name and loom required and we can try build a group buy on them.

Feel free to add any other looms in and we can see if we can get the costs down.

Currently they advertise the loom at $475 which is about £308 give or take a few pence, shipping we won't know until they return my email.

I'll start :

JaiKai : RHD, 95, New Style Injector Type, TT, Manual.

OK,

Just got a reply back as follows :

Lee, we can offer you a 10% discount on an order of 5 pcs at one time.

The shipping cost will also be discounted, depending on the order qty.

If you have more items sold, we can extend a deeper discount with 15% off on any 10 pcs, etc.

let me know if there is any interest in the product.

Thanks

Yury Lyalko

Wiring Specialties

So looks like its 10% discount for the first 5 and upto 15% if we get 10 folks in on this deal.

I replied back and asked after there last email based on 5 or 10 so just waiting for that cost too.

Not sure why they never said but guessing they never had my postal details as it would be cheaper

going to one address then I would resend out to everyone directly.

Might be worth enquiring postage costs to 1 address and individual addresses as UK postal costs with insurance are a bit steep. Personally I think I'd rather have it shipped directly to myself...

Supports NEW PTU ONLY :confused::confused:

as if don`t have one :)

Get with it lads, every man and his dog have later ptu's!

so about £98 for 5 to one address and £182 for 10,

That's £19.6 each if we get 5 or £18.2 if we get 10 looms.

Plus say about another £10 - £15 insured post from mine to yours to be safe.

A total of about £35 each to cover delivery.

Lee, the freight cost is about $150 USD for 5 pcs and about $280 for 10 pcs.

Will be waiting for your feedback.

Thanks

So we're looking at around £280 + £20 shipping + import duty etc (£50-60?). £350 for 5...

Everyone slags poor old series 1 ptu off, apparently there useless and break every 5 minutes. Let me ask a question though how many cars are still running a 20 year old trouble free series 1? Sure if it dies take the oppertunity to upgrade, but personally I can't fault a little box of electrics for failing after 20+ years its had a hard life poor thing.

The shipping for us to buy a loom individually outside this group buy from WS works out at $60 which is just shy of £40, can you ask if they will discount shipping (maybe $50) to individual addresses as I would rather have it delivered direct rather than pay 20 to you then uk postage costs. Insured shipping of a £300 package for £10-15 is a bit unrealistic IMO, but even so, to eliminate risk and save you a job, direct shipping is the way forward.

im looking for a new loom old style uk manual

Jason have a look on concept performance website, they pretty much can supply any loom for any style of injectors. If you can't see what you want drop them an email, and they will make it up for you.

I must be a cat then :P

Me too... I've got both though so I guess I'm a cog or a dat?

Have had the series two for ages just sitting in the shed, the series one is still working fine so don't see the point in changing just yet.
