wont happen way to much there without the risk of major issues from rushing would be a fluke with a workshop to do it in

If you have already booked the re-trimmers, the bodyshop, and the wheel refurbishers, then yes!

If nothing is booked yet.... good luck!!

Yes very possible, see it all the time on west coast customs, and the hot hot rod shop in the US, but then they do have the benefit of 20+ workers, pre-booked engine and trim work, lots of $$$$$ and of course a tv camera crew that can film the process in any order to make it work.

Don`t do the repaint till you return ( will get chipped anyhow) and you have a chance

I've fallen into the same trap, thinking I could totally strip mine and rebuild, respray before September, so far

it's all stripped but still to take the engine out and do the paint job.

if its open to the elements then Mother Nature is on your back but if your own garage with a 4 poster then lots easier.

its a doer with dedication and even help from fellow zedders if there bacon butties on the go.

I bought a shell stripped it to literally nothing did the filler work and painted it artic white,

then stripped my uk car and put everything on the new shell,

That was including every panel, the dash and all looms, all interior etc.

I had a unit to do it in, bro in law done the bodywork, and I done the rest a couple of friends came doen here and there to help.

I didnt rebuild the engine, or retrim interior and took me about a week.

if u have somewhere to do it, and a company re trimming interior I reckon it could be done...

If its worth doing I'd take my time for a best possible outcome, stuff gets missed and corners cut when an unpheasable time limit is put in place.

Either way good luck and look forward to seeing the end product!

That is the only problem doing it quickly,

I was giving up garage so had to either build it or leave it there cause had nowhere else to park half built cars.

it went together ok, but rushed to get engine in and scratched new paint in places,

im now building another one cause want to do the same and not scratch everything up and want to satin black all the original bits in engine bay etc.

so is better to take longer do it once and do it right...

What kind of respray are you having? Just the exterior or is it a proper engine out etc type of job?

I guess if the engines out and your working on it at the same time as others are doing a respray and interior then I guess it's possible. But I do think that the re-spray needs to have time taken for it to be mint.

I'm wondering what engine work your doing though.
