As (I think) everyone knows by now, we have reviewed the whole permanent ban system to give people served with lifetime bans the chance to have their ban reconsidered by the committee; after 12 months.

 

Following the announcement, Funky Si contacted me a few days ago with regards to his ban; and I am pleased to announce that the committee has approved his return to the forum.

 

As soon as Lee has reactivated his account, Funky Si will be online once more.

Yep its got to be done again, as you know primer is not good at protection from the elements lol. Ive got the paint, ive got the time, just need somewhere to get it done, i have a couple of places in mind and hope to give a splash of colour before JAE.

If i had a second car i would love to have stripped it as you did and just get it sorted properly, but i cant stop driving it, its a bug :laugh:

Graham, so it's had paint already? Maybe your car just likes to be primer grey! It's a huge bonus having a DD as well as a Z. I was able to take my time pulling the thing to bits and rebuilding it from the comfort of my garage.

 

What colour did you shoot for in the end?

Well I for one dont like it smacks of deceptive practice to to me

Do any of you really think that the guy posting under Funkysi name is really Si

He is to nice and polite and do not believe anyone can change that much in such a short time

In my mind I believe it is one of the Committee or one of the Mods using a duplicate account in an attempt at a bit of spin doctoring

And if it is Si its about time you got that old wreck of a z32 fitted with some tasty boyracer parts as its horrible as it is

Its white 2k primer, the paint ive bought is, believe it or not called hello yellow, which is a smart car colour, but looks deeper than i have seen it on SC, the engine parts are in the said colour and the slam panel to give me an idea of how it will look.

Steve stop giving Committee secrets away lol but thank you for your post as you know it is never easy making big forum changes. But I hope Si won't let us down as we have put a lot of trust in him to do the right thing and so endorse our new policy. But I must say the new boy is doing alright.

I bought it from Mike Feeney as a spare and tarted it up over a year until i was ready to fit, with manual conversion and single prop, now its just the body and the last bit of interior to sort.

Not a TT mate and as i said to you once at zedworld, it wasnt in great condition paint wise when i got it and i found a slight prang in the drivers rear corner, which made fitting 99 spec lights a problem, couldnt get it to sit as it should so went for the light panel blended in, then i got the bodykit bug lol.

 

I would say that although i would never get rid of this zed as its my first and an ongoing project, when i get a TT i would probably go 99 spec front bumper again, but none of the other body mods, they really are a pain in the ass and there is nothing like a good straight, clean standardish zed.
