yep i have made claims before as you can not all ways tell that the item in the box is damaged or not ...

 

i assume that the spoiler was sent in a box right ? as if it was me sending something alike jiffy/bubble rap does not stop damage to items as such thing ...

id just like to say that its abit unfair to post this now that the banned member can no longer defend themselves.

the now banned member i have personally bought lots of items from and i would be extremely shocked if this was the way it was posted out to you as they would never even place a for sale add of a item in that condition.

And as i am aware the parcel was signed for without being opened and checked which is what is required before accepting the item. if this had of been done then noone would be left out of pocket as a claim against the courier company could of been made.

personnally i think this type of thread should be deleted as i feel it comes across as abit inappropriate.

 

but is it ok for the banned member to have his say on another forum making out he is the innocent party and making out that it was someone elses fault?

I could say the same for the other parties posts and for the last week I've refrained from posting.

 

But I can only take so much slander aimed towards me that I had to show everyone what actually happened.

 

I'll close the thread shortly as its made it point and people can now see the truth for themselves.

Horses for corses mate. I find its best to lead by example, not be dragged into these things. As I said earlier I feel sorry for both parties as an impartial bystander, if the thing was damaged in transist and the courier company wont accept liability as it was signed for, weve had this at work before, they are both snookered. I think the bets thing to do is close this thread or clean it up and go for a how to progress, ie how to fix it or sell it etc.

I can understand JaiKai wanting to warn others to be careful when buying items and making sure that you check the pictures closely especially for larger sums of money. I have done this myself and got caught before on fleabay....

I usually sign and write item not checked....

I don't think there is any axe grinding or public lynching.....

Just JaiKai warning people to be careful what you buy and what constitutes New.......

I don't think broken, bodged repair and sold as New is right, fair or nice....

I know all the members on here wouldn't condone ripping other members off would they?

Many a time. Never had anything delivered to me looking like that though.

I hope it can be resolved amicably. I too have bought from said party and hes been nothing but helpful. Surely if the addressee didn't sign for it you can claim on the insurance as they shouldn't give it to just anyone.

but you have commented on said post on other forum yet not stated the same thing? :blink: ok..... you feel its ok for said banned member to drag someone elses name through the dirt on a different site.

 

Sorry harby, ive met you, i think you are a genuinely nice guy, but thats a bit one way traffic in its self that comment is.

it has been posted as lee doesnt want people coming on here and thinking he is a rouge or done something wrong, as said the other forum is a soap box for banned members and they think they can say what they want

 

the last couple of days it has kicked off a bit with people saying what they please and they expect the admin to keep quiet and just let be, im sure if it was one of yous that had been accused of something then you would want to clear your name?

Again, commented on said post from banned member on the other forum, didnt state anything like this over there, seems how lee can not defend him self over there, why not suggest the same?

OK my final say is that no matter what or where you buy please do some due diligence before committing on a sale.

 

As I've said previously this was not a head hunt as I've never once said who the sale came from.

 

If there is pictures great, but if they are unclear then ask for clearer ones.

 

If you pay by paypal then ensure that you never pay as a gift as you have no comeback if things go wrong.

 

Lastly no matter how eager you want to get your hands on something take your time as that's what made me

miss all the vital signs.

 

I'd like to thank every one for there comments and I hope this never happens to anyone on these forums or anywhere else.
