Jeff TT signing off (Zedworld)

Well it is with a heavy heart that I announce from today my 14+ year association with the 300zx and the owners both on and not on this forum will come to an end.

It has been a long educational business trip that has supplied a huge amount of highs and a few odd blips but as a whole its been a buzz, and to say it has been a big part of my life is a major understatement.

Of course its has not been all of my making and it would be remit of me to not mention a few names that have been instrumental in the building and maintaining of the Zedworld creation.

A big thanks to Jamie our son who worked along side me for the best part of eight years and whilst learning fast he still managed to show the old man a few tricks along the way!

A big thanks to Danielle our daughter who helped with many of the open day functions helping make the visitors feel welcome with chat, tea and food ( cooked by Lynda)

A super big thanks to my lovely Lynda of which many of you guys will know well, Lynda has been the cement in the Zedworld building blocks, keeping not only the large administration side of the business in order but dealing as a front of house host with chat, tea / coffer and toast to many, there is simply no way Zedworld could have become what it has without Lynda`s support and help.

With the future of the 300zx to carry on for years to come we thought it was time for us to take a break and let new blood take the Zedworld brand forward, so we are off to semi retirement in Portugal, but will pop back on here now and again I am sure.

So there we have it, its been a huge blast guys and girls and whilst I am about to sign off I do have one more announcement and that is Zedworld is to carry on under new management so whilst bidding farewell from me and the Zedworld gang I would like you to welcome the new owner's and join me in wishing them well in their new venture, I expect they will be along very soon to tell you more of their future plans, I will be about for a week or so during hand over so if there any questions or concerns please either pm me or e-mail me at jeff@zedworld.co.uk

A massive thanks to all of our customers many of which have become good friends and thanks to the 300zx forum for providing a platform for us and you all to enjoy the Nissan 300zx

Farewell to all

Wow, well this is a significant change in the 300zx community, the only fully established AND successful 300zx Specialist is changing ownership.

1st of all well done Jeff and family for building such a great asset to the 300zx community, it’s not just about fixing the cars, but also how you do it, how you treat the customers, their cars and knowing all those little “quirks” and “niggles” the car has.

God I remember the very 1st steps of the Zedworld business, the headlight upgrades using silver foil and uprated bulbs and now to look back at all you and your family achieved but more importantly just how much outside of working in the garage.

Enjoyed everyone one of my many trips to see you all, I ain’t chuffin driving all the way to Portugal though lol

The very best of luck with your fresh but sunny new start am well jealous, dohhh!

And of course the very best of luck to Mark and whoever helps him and long may the name Zedworld carry on

Well Jeff what can i say. I visited you back in 2003 in Tamuf' after getting my car. I couldn't believe you were in my home town LOL You and Lynda sent me parts without payment and always made me (and my mum) welcome no matter how long i dissapeard (due to Army) LOL Early 2000's were good with the Zed community, having you , Smithy, DTA etc...to say the least.

The fact of the matter is that you survived through it all. WHY?? because of your knowledge and family!! Im shocked to say the least because my car is booked in for MOT just down from Zedworld on 3rd Aug and i was gonna see you. I stand by what i said on the phone which was "Fook me!"

Good luck in the future and you retirement. Sad times but im sure Mark is gonna fly the flag for you and Zedworld! Thanks for everything and to think i only phoned you about a window not working to find out you off LOL

smithy

I have only had my Z a year and never had the pleasure of visiting Jeff at Zedworld, but the car has been worked on by Jeff before.

In the paperwork that came with the car are receipts including one for the manual conversion was completed there whilst in the previous owners hands, and Jeff had included photos of the work taking place which not many places would do.

Good luck for the future Jeff, enjoy Portugal!!

Smithy bud, he did!! Thats what im scared of lol!!! All the yrs i have known him and i even used to ring from Germany for input!

Really sorry to see this jeff but you've certainly worked hard and earned your retirement.

I want to say thank you for all of your help over the years. You will probably be the biggest miss that the 300zx community will have (except when I finally go - then there'll be a party).

Best of luck for the future and I hope you don't forget about us.

Out of interest, what is Jamie going to be doing? And what's happening with your zed? You sold it or does it come with zedworld as a company car :)
