My Map Session with Noz and the Importance of Having One.

When I bought the car the upgrades I had were Alunox exhaust, profec boost controller and an induction kit. With these few little performance add-ons my car was dyno'd and roughly it was at 340bhp and here is that print out given to me as part of the service record.

After the Trentham Garden meet on the Sunday I traveled to my good friends workshop in Shrewsbury Lee Dent. Lee did my engine upgrades last summer, engine out keeping stock internals and we/he fit bigger SMIC's, T28 Turbos, Stage 3 clutch with lightened flywheel, 600cc injectors, 56mm core rad, stainless manifolds, heat range 8 plugs and some other bits not really performance related.

 

Getting late on the Sunday but Lee attended to some very minor issues I had and gave it a clean bill of health ready for Noz the next day.

 

So seeing as it is compulsory to have a little guessing game when one goes to Noz, I thought I would just see what people think the figure is now at the engine and what I have improved it to ?????

 

I do have a Noz print out and some vids of a few runs and I'll keep uploading these occasionally :thumbup1:.

Looking forward to this also....as this is a guessing game ill make a slightly less educated guess than other people as to the parts fitted with a 440fwhp

Some interesting guesses, I have basically done everything possible apart from doing internal engine work.

 

When the work was done last summer I acquired a chip which was a DTA55, having a bunch of 555 chips in my hand I plumped for this as the engine performed the best.

 

However it always gave out some smoke when I booted it but apart from that just general driving it behaved well or so I thought :blink:.

 

This was the first run with that said chip in and before Noz worked any magic !!

Shit me mate a bit of over fuelling? Question see after the black clears it goes grey quickly what causes that? oil being burnt? bit odd isnt it.

I do have one but could do with some more guesses tonight first, the initially set up in 2009 was at 14 psi but since the work done the boost controller would peak at 23 psi :thumbup1:.

 

I will say this that Baz is NOT correct !!

I'm confused which turbos these are, are they the stock with larger CHRA?

Wow Andy when we give it some through that tunnel at stoke can't remember flames coming out,but I won't them on mine:-) but guess on power I'll say 455hp,nice car you have there bud:-)

im going for 483 fwhp ........Noel is a top lad isnt he..such a shame i didnt even get 5 minutes to sit and chat to him when i went to his at Leicester as my missus was desperate to get back home .....and seeing as she had the sat nav i had no choice ...

Cheap as chips GSP600 ones on ebay like these, not straight bolt on as they state but only a bit of fiddling I believe on just the one side :thumbup1:.

I thought there was a bit of smoke when the turbos come in TBH but flames will only come I guess if it's taken to the red like on run number 1 :thumbdown:.

You have to modify the o/s engine mount bracket as the actuator will not fit.:)...Ill throw a guess in but I do know the results:laugh: over 500 fwhp:)

now we have more details of the tubs, I'd say 530-560, not sure what to expect from a spool perspective.

I would have said 537 but since your car has so many LEDs being powered by it, I'll go with 261 lol

I have been waiting nearly a year for the day I could rolling road my car as it would tell me what these tubs were or are like, I think reports and general opinion are that they are pants, 'they must be because they are not 2k' :tt2:.

This is the reason I haven't been shouting from the rooftops over them, and even a reluctance in this very thread in fear of being slated but I love them and what can speak cannot lie.

 

Results will be revealed a little later but it seems some of you now are barking up the right tree :clap:.
