Started sorting some bits out tonight, cleaned up the headlights and sprayed the little black brackets that hold the rubbers to the lights satin black.

fitted them, had to bend the little brackets underneath the lights to make them sit right,

So many zeds seem to have wonky head lights and the nose panel lol.

Little bit of bending here and there and they look so much better.

Also got the servo and master cylinder back on...

Found all the pipes for turbos/intercoolers bro in law going to paint them black.

Im having a crap time at work at the moment, need a few full weeks so I can get my gasket set and bearings, and then the engine is done...

Anyway heres a couple of pics sorry there boring and not done much

looking good mate, is it a tidy shell then?? hope so.....

Yeah mate shell is really clean, only bit of rust on it was under battery tray,

Welded the holes up, and all good now.

Can't find a single bit of rust anywhere else even with a torch inside rear quarters and sills.

looks like this one is gonna get finished lol.

thanks stu....

Well again not done much,

I have original version r side skirts and to fit them properly they have panel clips all along the sill, I was really worrying about marking where and drilling the holes but it seemed to go ok, measuring and marking exact posistions is not my strong point lol...

20130721_204851_zps20217666.jpg

so now the skirt will fit up to the sill perfect and not need glue,

and work is slow and need respray and engine machine work money to finish it lol....

I know what a money pit they can be bud. Worth taking your time and not cutting corners though. Will be a great example when done. I hope work picks up for you, self employed myself so know how you feel.

I got it done near to where I live ..but took about 3 times to get it looking half decent,

good thing is they kept building up the powdercoat so now it has no casting marks its smooth lol.

I dont no if there dreams or nightmares.

where bouts in essex are u, I work in Dagenham.

I'm in sarfend.....lol

Well Leigh on sea.... Just outside.... The posh bit.....lol

I did my apprenticeship in Dagenham..... Thameside training centre at Fords.....

I got a few bits powder coated a few years ago (Plenum and water pipes) and they charged a fortune and cocked it right up....

I may have to look around and see if I can find a decent one round here again as yours looks very nicely done.....

Still not done much, lost my job so bloody skint lol...but its given me some spare time to do some bits to the zed....

all I really been able to do is re tape the looms cause they was dirty and had overspray etc on them.

anthony oobumblebeoo got all the turbo pipes in engine bay shot blasted and sprayed gloss black....

Need to get new bolts for tops of shocks but had to use old ones for the minute I know they look crap.

bro in law should be spraying the rest very soon.

Looking really good there matey and looking at the picture of your bedroom, you have some nice looking bits to build. Great thread mate, keep it up, it will be a show winning example when finished.
