Its a plasti dip paint, similar to what we spray the trims with, the only problem i see is that if you get a stone chip the vinyl layer will start to peel off.

Some colours look cool but personally think the red looks like primer or oxidised paint.

That price is cheaper than I Imagined for somebody to do. Since about half my car needs respraying anyway I had contemplated doing it, but I dont like the matt look. You can do it with a special gloss lacquer too though.

Yeah, check out the dipyourcar.com videos on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/DipYourCarcom/videos. They have loads of them and it shows the entire process in various colours and styles (matt, glosss ...etc) and they answer a lot of questions people tend to have on plastdipping.

Yep Im gonna end up doing this, the compressor I got last year will be used for blowing tyres up and sanding :cowboy:

Good links Dave :)

i got my own kit for this. on ebay 115 i think it was with everything you need.. the paint can be foun from 65 quid for 5 ltr pre mix.. im gonna use it on my build. the paint spose to be good upto 500 degrees c so should be good on things like calipers etc. its allot like underseal but u can peel off and change it at any time. the ebay shops called matt-pack i belive for the kit but his paint is a lil expensive. dead easy to use. my 4year old can do it without getting any runs. well worth it plus its uk based

My painter has done it to a couple of cars now. Comes out brilliant and is very robust, stands up to pressure washing etc. Matt white is the nuts!!
