Hi

If I have a boost leak i.e boost gauge needle remains in the middle of the gauge, should I notice

a considerable loss in power or any loss in power at all ?

boost and no boost is like night and day mate...are you on about the OEM gauge or after market

OEM gauge,, i also have a very high idle, but I don´t seem to have lost any power

either the boost sender is screwed or the hose has popped off, if it wasnt boosting it would drive like a pancake.

not exactly at the same time, but within days of eathother

mmm, well like Z32bolt says, I'd be checking the sender unit... (drivers side near the bonnet hinge)_check the hose to it is on and not broken or cracked.

check that it's connected right and not damaged, you could take it off and blow/suck into it.. if it doesn't hold pressure you know its broken.

check all the rest of the hoses it's connected to... I guess that's a start.

boost leak check is the first step really, that will revel split or disconnected hoses etc, in regard's to the sender though id be surprised if you can blow more than about two 2 psi with your lungs...don't forget it wont work with the ignition off. Also silly question but you arte checking the gauge whilst driving right? you will struggle to build any positive boost at idle, only vac pressure.

spot on Madallion man, z32Bolt

checked the hose that runs from the Sender unit to the T-pipe and found it had half snapped off the t-pipe. Changed the hose and now

she´s showing normal boost again. Now only the high rev issue, but I´m on that.

Thanks alot guys, much appreciated.
