are you looking to sell tomomontana?

im getting a manual gear conversion fitted and as i have no history on the car i am thinking cam belt kit and service

No mate, my zed needs it as its on 62000 and no record of a cam belt change.

Have a word with jeff at zedworld, he'll sort you out.

And I fairly sure you should replace the tensioner (someone please correct if I'm wrong).

Yes ideally should be replaced, along with the water pump.

Replace as much as humanly possible, the engine is 20 years old now or more. Replace what you can when you can, otherwise you will be tearing things apart to get at things you saw 6 months ago but didn't change when it was easy. Ive got a oil tree gasket to change, I should of done it when the block was out it would have taken me 10 minutes, instead I chose not to, it leaks now im stuck lol.

Yup - whilst you have the front of the engine off, replace the belt, thermostat, waterpump (unless you know the pump is considerably less than 60k miles old), and main tensioner (at 120k miles). You should also replace the little stubby water hoses

MJP or JeffTT are your best sources for parts - and stick with OEM; Jeff has posted many a horror story about pattern cam belts!! Plus non-OEM waterpumps have been known to come with a smaller impellor - not as good for pumping water around the engine; and we know with the VG30DETT, cooling efficiency is paramount!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
