  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Following on my post 121, I have now moved on and got them ready to be fit in the car, they will be fit and linked to other stuff that is all practically ready on the bench :thumbup1:.

A bit later on in the vid you will see the controller to operate the colours, they do a lot of stuff and look better in real life.

Bit early for Christmas decorations isn't it :p

It is all going to be linked with the 300ZX in the reverse light panel, plus some other bits.

How these RGB lights work is they will all power on when I put my lights on, I can then choose what colour I like, for example red is perfectly legal for these quarter window lights and will work as a side marker if you like, also red at the rear is fine. I can then switch off the lights at the pod and of course all these add ons will go off, then next journey lights back on and the RGB lights will come on as they were when they were powered off, so red for my example.

So no need for fiddling or adjusting each journey.

RGB lights can also be turned off at the remote.

So these are 'show' lights but can also be set for road use.

Fitted a radio in the car, had it over a year now with no music, not that you need it. Then went for a drive to test it.

fitted my refurbed tubs...looking for motor re-fit at w/end:yes:

I broke down on the way to ZNUT due to a leaking clutch hose :headvswal

Did some flating down and spraying :-)

my god, you did some work on the old girl? cant wait to see her finished.

anyway, i drove my zed today like i stole it.........up to the speed limit......and obeyed all the road rules....so technically more like i stole it and didn't want to be draw attention to my self.

Oh yes she shouldn't be to far off now just as long as the weather keeps picking up :-)

Took my car for it's first drive today, having been sat for six months on my drive. Temps and pressures seem to be fine, the brake disc's have cleaned up nicely and are working great, a few small jobs to do and may be one big one, that being a new ring gear. I will take the starter motor out and see whats going on inside the gearbox housing, and I still need to do something about the exhaust being so loud, other than that I'm a happy camper.
