  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Cheers Tom, it does look good. I liked your plenum too.....lol. Just ordered some SFS silicone hose couplers in red too, for the hard pipes to go on.

Looked at her and thought right. im going to finish her this summer. Driver her next summer and bloody enjoy her

Got a few paint bits to sort out, try a different spoiler to see if I like it for a lower sleeker look, spray the wheels a new colour instead of black similar to my old alloys, Put the tt diff back on and prop, fit the new clutch, pads and track rod end and fit a quiet twin exhaust system

Possible?? also trying to do your new home up and a new baby due next week :lol:

Didn't know you had an na mate, always thought it was a tt

Nope, both the Zed's we have are NA.

Got my car mad oem style custom boot spoiler for the black zed and wing mirrors, so means ive got to start on that one soon and found i have cylinder one down on my N/A, the injector ohmed fine within spec, so going to change the plug and coilpack next to hopefully sort out the lumpy running....again (different cylinder this time lol)

Yesterday, I removed my rusty, leaky old PAS oil cooler and joined up the rubber hoses to successfully eliminate the PAS fluid leak....:hyper:

Then I gave the Z a nice wash to remove all the grime from last weekend's short break to Shropshire; followed by me using it for my daily commute each subsequent day as I could not be bothered to move the cars around from garage to driveway until yesterday........

And today, I tested my handiwork by taking the Z on a 120 mile return trip to Upton House in Warwickshire. Seems I fixed the PAS fluid leak nicely - and when we got home, I decided to give the Z a polish with Autoglym SRP; and then put it back in the garage ready for a top coat of sealant wax next weekend:cool:

Richard:biggrin:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Wow bud, and what did you use to clean it again? i cant be arsed to look back through all the threads lol

First I soaked it in Janitol plus in hot water to soften everything.

For the outside I used a kitchen scoured.

The real magic happens for the inside. Once it has been in soak for several hours, I then drain it and put 2 crumbled dishwasher tablets and 2 cup fulls of dishwasher salt inside. I add about half a pint of warm water to this and then shake vigorously until all of the crap is removed. You will have to work the solution around and work each area at a time. Don't forget to block of all of the holes mind.

Cheers  i probably wont go to the extent of the whole washer and overflow bottles but definitely the filler tops that you can see :thumbup1:

Re wired my bi-cas it was twisted and taped to check ot would work and ill be honest, it worked and I left it. Now it's much neater, solder heat shrink and spiral wrap.

I was a bit worried about the XTD but I've read and re read everything I could find on here and most of the reviews are good. And as its not far of an F1 clutch they were popular too.

I am sure I can handle the gabbiness just hope it doesn't make too many stupid noises
