  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Beat my skull many times with a ball pein hammer to the left temple for spending 3 hours trying to fix the reception on my Tuner only to find out it was a Jap spec and not compatable to our airways:headvswal..Why are simple things so hard:wacko:

I went and visited my Zed today, whilst in the care of Dr.kjz32 and having a complete make over.....lol. Here are some pics of where Keith is up to: -

Loving the new look wheels too.....lmao

Ditch the snout and go for a smooth nose panel and you'd be onto a right winner there. The Impul kits is nice and rare and so easy on the eye.

It was that Simon boy that made me change them:biggrin:

....and didn't I do you a HUGE favour! Such an improvement Gary!

New left pod surround from z centre arrived so fitted that.

Kept the pods out as doing an LED conversion.

Bought a load of LED strips from eBay to do LED tail lights (whilst looking as close to 99 spec OEM as possible)

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

I agree with you Si, looking at it fitted today, I prefer the standard nose. It fits better......lol. ERRR, Keith, please may I put my OEM nose back on???

I must say a very big thank you to Keith yet again, he has pulled out all the stops and although it's not finished yet he has got my Zed to a point where I can use it for JAE. A couple of pics but it was horrible weather when I arrived home after collecting it from Keith's place.

Well I refitted the newly resprayed upper tailgate spoiler, refitted the interior ( seats, rear panels, boot panels, gear surround ), fitted water pipe delete hoses, mended alarm wiring.... then it bucketed down for the rest of the day.....

So spent the rest of the day and evening researching the audio install I am doing in the next few weeks......

Spent the afternoon at Phutumsch's house fitting a faulty HID kit, obviously we didn't know this till we fire it up and found the ballast units to be suspect.

Good job Andy had a spare kit "in stock" or the hour we spent running the diode mod wiring to the back of the light pod in the dash would have been for nadda.

Anyway its all sorted now and running like a champ so big thanks to Andy for all his help today the guys a superstar.

While the dash was out I had chance to fix my odeometer problem, ie it hadn't been plugged back in from when the reverse indiglo dials were installed.

Now counting miles again, happy days.

Drove it, drove it some more. Met up with a mate of mine this morning in his 350z and then spent the afternoon over at Jimmer's drinking tea, eating biscuits and having a laugh.

Fitted pipes from MAF pipes to turbo's, ran new power steering braided lines, Gave floorpan full underseal coat, fitted new grommets in floorpan holes, lowered car back down on the floor, Polished chrome plenum brackets, deleted PRVR solenoid, removed Wategate solenoids, refitted tailgate interior panels and fitted dynamat to tailgate........ I also spent ages trying to work out how I am going to fit all my audio in the boot and not see it......

Now she is back down on the ground I can't wait to get her running and drive her........lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

today ive removed the scuttle panels and gave underneath a extra coat of protection under the windscreen with some hammerite.

then thought may aswell repair the battery side as it was cracked so glued it back together with some fibreglass resin.

finally gave them a coat of paint see how they look colour coded to the car and got them refitted.
