  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Just a tip gee, when you replace the bolts in our undertray, use stainless steel replacements and some copperslip for future ease of removal..

Oh and good luck getting them back in

After 6 months of being garaged for the rear end overhaul, she finally saw the light of day.

Well Getting there, my car was in 1 piece for all of 2 days, the oil pipes are buried deep in the heart of mordor

big leak.jpg

I rebuilt my plenum that I stripped for cleaning and then intended to reseal my weapy vvt solenoids and inlet cover gaskets only to find I was nil stock of red RTV, doh!

After a bit of dithering(!) I diverted my attention to the stars of the show; the 740's. I removed the fuel rail and practically destroyed the perfectly serviceable stock injectors trying to remove them with all the wrong tools, brute force and ignorance!

After winning the battle I slipped in the Tomei injectors using the JWT adaptor kit which is a fantastic quality bit of kit that requires no plenum modifications to fit (unlike the other kits) very impressed with that, much recommended.

Once they were all in I replaced the hoses on the rail with new OEM fuel hose and Renault (I mean Nissan) spring type fuel clamps. I then installed them back into the car with nice new insulators making it fit nice and snug back in place.

A fairly productive afternoon of ignoring the kids overall and look forward to getting another stab at it in a few days time.

That brings back memories, I had to strip my front end completely to weld a new crossmember in.

Can't believe that was a year ago now.

I have one of those sat here btw, someone on here wanted one and I never heard back so it's just been sat on my bench. I removed it because I could basically, it was redundant.

Picked up some more parts from the powder coaters. I can't bring myself to refit certain parts without having them refinished.....even parts you can't really see!

By integral, he means his lounge. Simon doesn't have a tele, he just pours a glass of red whilst chilling on his finest Italian velour chaise longue, and admires his Z with no clothes on.

The cork is still in the 65 year old bottle of Cabernet Sauvigno at the moment as he has spent his evenings rebuilding, eating pizza and wedging dashboards into a wheelie bin. Normal service will be restored shortly.

PMSL - even in jest, Joel; I can actually visualise this.....

.....Except for Si having no clothes on. With that thought, I must now go run around my garden, hands over my eyes and screaming uncontrollably.....:surrender:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
