  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

  • These parts turned up from Specialty-Z today. Last significant items for the "bolt on" build. I'll post some more pictures of all the stuff I have collected over the years (literally!) in the "Project

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Thanks for the pic Si. Hmmmm still unconvinced on the rears, have to see in real life, but willing to take the gamble with Joel, as fronts are basically necessary.

Fronts are a requirement and they're MUCH smaller than the rears. You don't really notice they're there. But what you'll not get is that horrible white rash that Z32s seem to get on the lower front wings.

Finally found where my targa was leaking from, having stripped it apart, appears i need to replace either the plastic part that houses the closing mech, or use excessive amounts of silicone sealant around that bolt between the targa and its mounting point on the out side of the glass, its one of the main bolts that connect the plastic part to the glass.

Not helped by our stupid councils who think a new road surface is a layer of razor sharp loose green granite chippings bedded in tar....Tits!!!!:(

Yeah, I hate it when they do that. They seem to do it on roads that don't even need resurfacing. At my old house, I lived in a cul-de-sac and the main road that ran close was in good condition and it was barely used so had little traffic. The council decided to spray tar everywhere and lay chippings. It took weeks and weeks and weeks for the chippings to vanish because there was almost no traffic. So it was like driving up and down a gravel driveway, except with razor sharp dusty chippings. I didn't use my Z for 3 weeks. I called the council and tore the planner there a new butt hole. He couldn't give me a valid reason as to why a low-use road that was in good condition would need to be ruined by stone chippings and tar. Useless tossers. Just a waste of money and a mess! I called them a number of times and eventually, they sent out a road sweeper to pick up most of the chippings. A few days later it poured with rain, so a lot of it got sorted, but it's a process I absolutely HATE and see no valid reason for.

Yea one of the most retarded ideas for a road surface ive ever seen..could destroy a new paint job in a hundred yards.

Use up the budget so they don't lose it!

Alas, I wish that was the case, it was done in May....during a hot-snap which pissed me off even more!

I'd still have to subscribe to SKy though....wouldn't I? I've never bothered with TV as I don't watch much of it. Glad Lewis won. Still such a shame about his chavy earrings!

Huh. Didn't expect to get the gp result in this thread!! Serves me right for having a nosey on here whilst I'm watching a recording of it!

That bolt should sit in a rubber cup within the glass. You can only do them up so tight so sealant is a must. Easy peasy. Hope that ends it for you.

Yep, the little plastic bit on the other end isnt sealing against the glass for some reason, so need to get some black silicone sealant.

I made a start on some Pre MOT checks.:sweatdrop:

Fitted a proper passenger seat and some inertia reel belts.

Found a blown bulb on the fog light in the rear cluster.:blushing:

Will carry on tomorrow and get it booked in ASAP.

Its not been on the road since Oct last year:blush:

Last night I fixed an enormous power steering leak at the rear of the Zed!! :(

Tonight I should be fitting my HIDs... :)

tonight after work i drove it hard and fast then put it to bed with a good sweat on:thumbup1:

that sounds like a very good thing to do with a z.

i will be doing the same on sunday.
