  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Cool, let me know on prices :)

I have series six door cards if they're what you want to see.

I'm looking for a picture of the door cards that have the all in one door handles and vents..

Post me a pic up Dutch, thanks mate..

Been asked for a quote to do a dipping job on a car but can't find pictures of the doorcards to quote on

received my perforated/smooth leather shift handle back from Greavous LeatherWheels.com and it looks great! I had him fill in where the overdrive label was to have even back. It's perf on the back facing the driver and smooth on the front. He used a little larger stitch to give it a great look! and the leather matches my black Napa leather redline.com custom auto zx boot cover.

Looks amazingly good as if it is an oem unit... I've compared both and I'm going to with his work over my Momo knob.

Not seen the black rings installed before, will make a nice change. Put a pic up when they're fitted [emoji106]

No problem posting shortly!!!

Well today I achieved quite a bit..... Jacked up N/S, took off wheels, rear brake calliper, front shock, hub, calliper, drop link, arms, everything....

Now all stripped and ready for some media blasting, then a soak in some Bilthamber Deox-C to kill the remaining corrosion.

I shall be sorting the inner arches as well with a dose of wire brush on drill, Deox-Gel to treat any surface rust, a good coat of zinc primer, satin black paint and then some flexible underseal......

Ready for callipers to be stripped and new colour of lacquer installed.... to go with my shiny New Goodridge hose kit, brake pads, drop links and hopefully discs.......

loads to do and little time to complete this lot.... lol

Oh...... and deep clean and polish of the wheels..... in my spare time.....

She does look weird with an empty wheel arch...... Like she is floating in mid air.....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

All in one door handles and vents ? The changes in door cards (other than material) include the addition of arm-rests and moving the seatbelts to the B-Pillars.

Apparently not mate.. I don't think I've ever seen it, but i have a guy with a Z asking me to do some work on his car and he said the door air vents are part of the switch panel and handle.

I can only assume either it's a custom job or they do actually exist..

Very strange stuff

It's definitely a custom job, Paul. The basic design of the Z32 doorcards and their accessories didn't change over the entire production run.

So spent yesterday no the road with the Zed for 12 hours as part of an ebay drop and shop collecting various bits including a guitar and carbon fibre. From London > Coventry > Birmingham > Preston > Birmingham > Cambridge > London.

The car LOVED it ;) faultless drive covering around 600 miles. And WOW I can't believe how much love it got - From motorway drivers pointing and looking, to petrol station workers giving it love, and then every stop of I did it had multiple comments, to the point where the last chap I met took a video to show his mate who apparently loved it.

in 3 years of ownership that is the most love it has had in such a short space of time. I can't help but feel the Zed is really coming into fashion now for lack of a better word. I reckon it is due to the fact they are so uncommon on the road and have aged so well, with a hint of classic supercar flair. They really start to stand out compared to the run of pointy oversize modern cars.

Here's to the year of the 300.

I went to the next village yesterday to collect some dog food. 2 hours later, I came home.

Why? Cos the guy in the pet shop wanted to have a really good nose around my Zed!

I do think they're starting to gain a little (dare I say it?) prestige nowadays, and that makes me very happy!

I'm finding this more as well. Some guy was hanging out the window of his van filming my zed a few weeks back, waving me to boot it past him. (Bit of a tit using his phone while driving really.) he was proper excited about it though. Last year I guess, the response has been great. You get stopped by people in car parks and people point when you go past. People seem to all of a sudden like them.

Slightly different but still a compliment I Spose. Me and gaz had a woman some while ago saying how she wished she could afford something like that blah blah blah. Bear in mind both cars are bright red. She thought we had a pair of Ferraris  bless her.

The most recent one I had was a guy on his mountain bike going round a roundabout. Kept looking as I went round, I booted it and turned round again and as he did so, he clipped the curb and went flying. Only injury was to his pride.

Worth it

Went to the Preston supercar meet today, a good turnout of American muscle this month. Didn't get many pics this time apart from this wide body Z convertible that came:

My dad even popped down for a bit today too and brought me this pretty cool gift:)

Yes I've seen that now mondo.. It was a bit confusing when he told me the handles and vents were one piece..

Still, I'll wait for the photos and see what the score is..

Well well, I couldn't believe it!

Today was MOT time after the old girl has been laid up for 2 years. Quick wash and Hoover and down to the test station we went.

As I pulled up 3 mechanics came out for a look at the Zed and after popping the bonnet were all blown away by the engine. After a quick brief of what she is and what I've done; I let the MOT tester take her for a drive around the block, need I say she passed with flying colours!

Yippee, another summer of Zedding; Italy and France here we come....again! F#!$ing love my car!

Lovely jubbly! Out of curiosity, where will you be driving her in Italy and France?

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

Well well, I couldn't believe it!

Goodness...............is that all what's involved these days for getting the golden ticket, Stephen could do with taking his car to the same station, no fog light issues here it seems !!

Great news Tony.

"Perfect" he says. One MOT percured, still got my advisory for noisey exhaust, maybe I should class that as a badge of honour.

Just a tad of paint today as I had them out anyway.

Not perfect but they'll do for me

What's with the tipex? Did you have some spelling mistakes on them?

The paint was rather thick, and crapped out when I peeled the tape off :(
