  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Received my new mask from concept z today so just had a quick trial fit. This should stop any stone chips on my fresh paint.

God those are ugly! I think I'd rather have the odd stone chip! ;)

True, but will only be on for long motorway journeys. Plus my zed could now be used in the new Batman film :batman:

bring out the gimp, can you get a matching ball gag too.

I pulled front bumper today ready for the stillen lip, also prepped the skirts for paint, gotta pull rear bumper now to fit diffuser, at last getting some jobs done.

Painted this today for Vig (sumshiftyguy) as one of his got damaged by a rogue stone!

Came out ok, unfortunately 2 small pin holes in the mould that didn't present themselves until after painting, but it came out reasonably well. Surprisingly hard to paint due to the angles and deep recess.

Nice finish.

Si, what was the room temperature when you laid down the paint?

As I understand it, it's quite critical? Or is it?

It can be, yeah, as is moisture content. My garage is very dry however and the temperature was around 20. Ideal painting conditions.

Replaced timing belt and painted cam covers white. Don't know how long they will last but i like them

I pulled the Transmission, fitted the replacement, painted the prop shaft, painted the heat shield between the prop and the exhaust with heat resistant paint, touched in the underseal......

Friday i need to pull the whole lot again as the torque converter moved whilst fitting and now the oil pump isn't lined up anymore...... Grrrrrr

And also found the rear gearbox mount split.......

Been a hard couple of days.........

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

You have been a busy boy Russ!

When you pulled the box, didn't you think.... Hmmm, a manual box would fit nicely in here :)

I did, but then my imagination took over and in my head I joined the fast and furious crew and was drifting, driving like vin diesel and paul walker......

Thats when reality smacked me in the face and said...... I thought "you have 2 small children and you drive like a pratt in an auto, let alone a manual!"........

So for the safety of other road users, making sure my kids still have a dad alive and with a driving licence..... I decided an auto may make me act more responsibly....... lol
