  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Friday night I fitted a new battery.

Monday I took it out the garage and washed it.

Today Took it out on the road for the first time in 2 and 1/2 years. In for an MOT and it passed with some advisories for slight corrosion on brake pipes and a slight play in a suspension joint. Other than checking the lights beforehand I didn't do any prep work.

Now it's all taxed and legal again!

Thats great news mate. Happy Zedding

Wooohooo! These turned up today! I now have ALL my brake upgrade components!! :D Can't wait to see how the Brembo Sport pads are, they're supposed to give a very positive 'bite'. :)

You can't even begin to imagine how surprised I am to find that drilled and grooved brake discs are going to find a home on your Zed, Si...!!

Whatever next..... :tt2:

Well...I know. I thought about plain discs (which aren't that easy to find - genuine Brembo ones are twice the price), in fact even PolioJ advised on plain discs......but...I dunno. my wheels are quite detailed leaving not too much exposed, so it won't be as easily identifiable as something with 5 spokes! He has the same and you can't really notice it.

Only playing. When I come to replace my front discs, my only real viable option is going to be grooved again... as you say, your wheels will hide the lion's share of the disc anyway :)

Mine are just grooved, they're DBA 4000 wiperslot discs with "kangaroo paw cooling technology"! Mine are a later revision disc, the early ones suffered from cracking due to the slot going all the way to the edge, creating a stress point.

Let's not worry Simon though Andrew, we should make it home just fine [emoji6]

I have drilled and slotted fronts, which will be matched at the rears. Just got stock pads ATM. I'm sure il find a typically impractical stressful solution.

And running like a beast I believe?

Yes apparently she goes well after the rebuild mate, just need to put some steady miles on her:),it's been a long haul but worth it,looking forward to just driving this car without any issues,it's been four years since it ran well.
