I do have genuine 99 tail lights with stock bulbs, just working on something else different for myself and these are the inserts that i've prepared.

 

You'll notice matching clear lenses which i have done before for someone..............well the lenses on the reverse light panel are also clear top and bottom :cool3:.

Kent mini meet went Micro meet!

Took the Z to the George & Dragon at Chipstead nr Sevenoaks.

Very nice atmosphere, good friendly staff & v good food!

Enjoyed the day after washing & polishing the Z!

Broke down on way to meet art213......... spent 6 hours nursing her home, cold and tired....... Got a sudden misfire, then hunting, then stalling every time I stopped and had to rev up and dump into drive to get her to go anywhere.....

She was holding back and going between 600 and 1200 rpm....... then was foot on throttle to keep her ticking over..... couldn't find any reason for her doing this.....

Not good on an auto and going through the bloody dartford crossing with those bloody barriers........ Ended up with flat battery from all the starting.....

I will check MAF, temp sensors, vacuum leaks, loose wiring tomorrow on the driveway with a coffee....... rather than cold roadside, no numbers to call to say I wouldn't be there for the meet.....lol

Gutted, tired and peeeeed off......

I finally straightened my number plate after all these years. Took ages to get the old plastic screws out cos they'd snapped the end off (hence the cockeyed number plate) and I could find a drill.

Just got the car back from Jeff with new MOT. In Jeff's words, "it flew through, didn't touch the sides." "You could have taken it to Halfords" Lol :laugh:

Got Zebedee back from the paint shop after having his scratched wing repaired

I dropped mine off at the paintshop for finishing now it's all back together. A week of polishing for them!

Its hard to beat a nice bright red super car JP. Mine is still gathering dust in the garage but as soon as I get the garage and workshop fitted out the Z will be pampered.

Yeah, I do really like the colour, even coming from a man that has never been a fan of red zeds!

I took a few cheeky snaps before I took it back to the paint shop for finishing, so these pics are an "almost finished" stage. When I get it back, I'll be applying the pin stripes in the swage lines and installing the Z badge:

It looks amazing mate and black is my favourite colour in cars but a factory fresh red for a 300zx looks so good but it must be in top condition.

Looks amazing before the polishing, can't wait to see this in the flesh after the finishing!

Just goes to show, two iconic sports cars and a z32 in that car park and it doesn't look out of place or drab, Infact quite the opposite.

Today saw me finishing off getting the black Zed ready for collection tomorrow :) Hopefully the new owner will have as much enjoyment in her as I have!

 

Whilst doing that, changes were made to Diesel (the name of the Shortie - named quite aptly after my friend's almost three-legged dog!)... all I need now is for my new studs to arrive and I can actually drive the damn thing!! :lol:
