  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

yes mate, thats the one, but might be bank holiday busy with bikes...

I have also driven that route in a 2.8 Capri followed by what I believe is called something like Rinott pass.

Scared the sh#t out of me as the chassis was so stiff that once a rear wheel became air born I last traction.

Wrynose, and we did that too. We came up from the south right where those 2 join, so we turned onto Hardknott first, did the most difficult section of hairpins, with the bumps causing lots of traction issues and fun, before turning round and doing them again to get back to Wrynose, Ambleside and The Struggle.

It has been a blast today. really has. big grins.

Today I got the car off all four wheels and removed the front bumper. It’s nothing terribly exciting or challenging for you more experienced members but I’m left feeling pleased with myself.

Next job will be to remove the headlights and give them a good clean.

Its a job I have never done Chris. Well done mate.

Got to start somewhere.

I remember the first time i pulled the bumpers off when i changed it to a 99 spec front.

Never knew the lighting plugs and fittments were all different so had to put it all back on again.

This was about 9 years ago now and i've just about done every thing possable apart from remove the sub frames.

I’ve found it doesn’t matter how many times you remove the front bumper, it’s always a pain in the hoop!

Lol. I didn’t find it too bad, the only ones to give me jip we’re the one behind the arch liner about 6inchs in.

Today - after filling the tank with V-Power last Saturday - I reached 314 miles and I'm still out of the red...Just:biggrin:

I call that an achievement - I rarely see more than about 275 miles to be honest; still, the real achievement will be completing a 16 mile journey in the morning and only re-fuelling upon arrival...:clover::wink:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
